Sports Illustrated’s latest 2026 NFL mock draft offers a glimpse at how the next draft class could shake out, with a healthy mix of quarterback talent and impact defenders projected at the top of the board. While the full mock isn’t freely accessible, SI’s coverage and big board rankings reveal the players drawing the most buzz among scouts and evaluators as draft season approaches.
NFL Mock Draft Database

At the top of SI’s player rankings sits edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. (Miami), a disruptive force off the edge who has drawn comparisons to high-impact pass rushers because of his length and power. His presence atop the board underscores how elite edge defenders remain premium commodities.

Joining Bain among the premier prospects are elite secondary and offensive talent. Jordyn Tyson (Arizona State) is widely regarded as one of the most complete wideouts in the class, combining size, route precision, and contested-catch ability. Caleb Downs (Ohio State) stands out as a true playmaker in the defensive backfield with range, instincts, and versatility that could elevate a team’s secondary early in his career.

Offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa (Miami) is another top name, offering elite size and athleticism on the line that could make him one of the first blockers off the board. Mauigoa’s combination of power and mobility projects well in both pass protection and run schemes.

Beyond those core names, Flick’s board includes other high-end prospects likely to hear their names early. Dynamic edge rusher T.J. Parker (Clemson) and fellow pass-rush threat Keldric Faulk (Auburn) both bring disruptive potential that NFL defenses crave. Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) remains a notable quarterback prospect with pro-style accuracy and experience against strong competition. Ashton Stamps (LSU) is among the top cover corners in college football, while Peter Woods (Clemson) anchors the interior defensive line with power and run-stopping ability. Nick Singleton (Penn State) rounds out the early look as one of the best running backs in the class, blending power and explosiveness.

SI’s 2026 mock emphasizes how deep and varied this draft class could be, with talent across key positions and multiple prospects capable of becoming foundational pieces for rebuilding NFL franchises.

Free agency was super exciting this year. We’ve seen great players get traded, some released, and even more sign deals within minutes of free agency started. How will Ndamuknog Suh and Darrelle Revis’ new teams adjust their draft strategies? How will the teams that lost great players like Dallas react?

Find out who I mocked to your favorite team in the wake of free agency in my latest 2015 NFL mock draft.

Picks below:

1. Buccaneers: Jameis Winston QB Florida State
The Bucs have shed bad contracts in Josh McCown and Michael Johnson in an effort to reboot this franchise. Previously I had Mariota here but there is only so long I can pretend that Jameis isn’t clearly the better player. Mariota did himself no favors during his pro day and Winston has continued to look the part of a franchise QB… IF… IF… he can stay out of the news for the wrong reasons.

2. Titans: Leonard Williams DT USC
Many people are mocking Mariota here but I still don’t think he has the kind of potential to draft over a Leonard Williams. Zach Mettenberger is already there and there will be little flack if the Titans draft the top lineman in the draft over him.

3. Jaguars: Dante Fowler Jr. DE Florida
Fowler just seems to keep getting better year after year. The Jaguars would like to add some offensive weapons for Bortles, but it seems as if Julius Thomas is the answer to that problem for now.

4. Raiders: Danny Shelton DT Washington
The Raiders were players in the Terrance Knighton sweeps and also sent a tire kicker towards Greg Hardy. This tells me that they are looking for an impact player on that defensive line. With Knighton opting for Washington, Mr. Shelton makes sense as a solid day one starter at the tackle.

5. Redskins: Shane Ray DE Missouri
Speaking of the Skins, here they are going for a new defensive end now that Brian Orakpo’s production has fallen and he’s a free agent. Ray didn’t destroy the combine the way Vic Beasley did but teams just have to go on film to see the potential here.

6. Jets: Amari Cooper WR Alabama
The Jets used their cap room to bring back Antonio Cromartie and Darrelle Revis. Therefore this pick will not be a corner. Looking forward, if Geno is the guy then you absolutely have to get him some help. Brandon Marshall has been traded three times, I don’t think you can count on him being a long term solution.

7. Bears: Vic Beasley OLB Clemson
Beasley absolutely flamed the combine and proved to be one of the best athletes in this entire class. With Mariota on the board the Bears will consider replacing Jay Cutler but ultimately fix their eyes on doing that in round two with Garrett Grayson (remember who wrote this first.)

8. Falcons: Randy Gregory DE Nebraska
The Falcons have one of the worst pass rushes in football. Let’s be honest about it. Drafting arguably the quickest pass rusher in this class absolutely makes sense.

9. Giants: Brandon Scherff OT Iowa
I still have Scherff to NY as of now. It looks like the Giants have decided to bring in Shane Vereen as a veteran back and Scherff fills a need to help their backs consistently get lanes. He’s being compared to Zach Martin and that’s a pretty good comparison if you ask me.

10. Rams: Andrus Peat OT Stanford
Last time I wrote this draft I told you that Sam Bradford was given permission to seek a trade. That trade has happened and Bradford has been shipped to Philly in exchange for Nick Foles.

With Foles trusted as the starting QB the Rams are open to get another linemen. This would stop the shuffling between guard/tackle that Greg Robinson is currently having to do. Ironically, I think Mike Mayock’s comments on Peat’s physique have helped Peat’s name stay on the top of draft people’s minds.

11. Vikings: DeVante Parker WR Louisville
The Vikings just traded for Mike Wallace but that doesn’t mean anything. Wallace was under utilized in Miami and that could be the beginning of a downward trend in his career.

12. Browns: Malcom Brown DT Texas
I previously mocked Danny Shelton to the Browns who are in need of an impact player upfront badly. With Shelton gone they have to make a slight reach to assure they get their guy here.

13. Saints: Kevin White WR West Virginia
The Saints have shuffled up their offense big time due to cap restrictions. Jimmy Graham is now in Seattle in exchange for Max Unger, and Kenny Stills has been traded to Miami for Dannell Ellerbe. Losing two receivers in a few days is nothing to sneeze at considering the way Drew Brees likes to spread the ball around.

14. Dolphins: Melvin Gordon III RB Wisconsin
With Kenny Stills and Jordan Cameron in town the attention can be turned into making this pick strike some gold in the backfield. Gordon’s your prototypical feature back and has experience playing a large number of snaps per game.

15. 49ers: Alvin Bud Dupree DE Kentucky
How much can one defense take? Justin Smith and Patrick Willis have decided to retire. Then there is the constant question of how long can Aldon Smith stay out of trouble?

Something tells me the Niners are going to use their newly less talented defense as a scapegoat to dump Smith….

16. Texans: Dorial Green-Beckham WR Oklahoma
Now that Andre Johnson has left this team after years of frustration the new era can begin. Dorial Beckham will be an attractive option but I think AJ’s shoes may be too big to fill with such an enigmatic guy like Beckham…

17. Chargers: Todd Gurley RB Georgia
San Diego had to depend on the undrafted Brandon Oliver to fill the loss of Ryan Matthews. Now that Matthews is in Philly and the Chargers have brought in Orlando Franklin upfront, they need an explosive back to shoulder the bulk of the carries. Can Gurley be that man? I think he can.

18. Chiefs: Jaelen Strong WR Arizona State
No receiver caught a touchdown pass for this team. None! I don’t care that Jeremy Maclin is in town, Dwayne Bowe is on the street and this team still needs help catching touchdowns.

19. Browns: Brett Hundley Jr. QB UCLA
Here are the Cleveland Browns current Quarterbacks: Thad Lewis, Johnny Manziel, Josh McCown & Connor Shaw.

McCown will do his best in 2015 but at age 35 there is little left in the tank as we saw in Tampa. Manziel is a wasted pick and has to be treated as such until there is evidence that young man has his life together. Maybe he becomes a trade asset in a year or two.

Hundley is a big character guy with a ton of physical potential if he can get his mechanics down consistently:

But wait? Why isn’t this pick Mariota?! Because…

20. Eagles: Marcus Mariota QB Oregon
There is no way Chip Kelly is leaving this draft without his guy. Yes, the Eagles have traded for Sam Bradford and signed a lot of high price free agents (Demarco Murray, Byron Maxwell) but something tells me they aren’t done quite yet.

Filling all your needs in free agency and trades basically means you aren’t going to sign a ton of rookies. I expect those picks to be traded in some sort of deal that nets Mariota to Philly.

THIS IS A PLACEHOLDER PICK. The Eagles will trade up somewhere in this draft.

21. Bengals: Arik Armstead, DE/DT, Oregon
Michael Johnson’s production was sorely missed as this squad struggled to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Johnson is a free agent and may come back to Ohio like Lebron James but until that happens I’ll mock a DE here.

22. Steelers: Trae Waynes CB Michigan State
Pittsburgh needs help in the defensive backfield. Troy Polamalu is not walking through that door. Nor is Ryan Clark. Waynes is an extremely talented big corner that could transition to safety if needed. More importantly this pick keeps him away from heated rival Baltimore. Pick could also be Landon Collins who slips in this draft.

23. Lions: Eddie Goldman DT Florida State
Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley are both out of the door. In comes Haloti Ngata, but he can’t do it all himself.

24. Cardinals: Denzel Perryman ILB The U
The Cardinals need an inside linebacker and Perryman is near the top of the board at this point. The value and need boxes check off.

25. Panthers: Ereck Flowers OT The U
If the Panthers don’t draft some offensive linemen Cam Newton should demand a trade. Ereck Flowers is a player who could go literally anywhere from 10-30 in this draft and will likely elevate on draft day. I like the way he gets down-field in the run game and that athleticism will go a long way with the mobile Cam Newton.

26. Ravens: Breshad Perriman WR UCF
The Ravens need a receiver pretty badly. Their best player at the position is the 36 year old Steve Smith Sr.

27. Cowboys: Jordan Phillips DT Oklahoma
Demarco Murray is gone to Philly but I don’t think its as big of a deal people think. He’s coming off a near 400 carry season and had major flaws in his ball handling/durability even with that offensive line opening huge lanes. Remember, the underwear thief Joseph Randle ran for nearly 5 yards a carry in spot duty. They’ll be alright.

With Jerry Jones’ team desperately needing a pass rush from this defensive line, the fast riser Phillips will definitely be on Jerry’s board.

28. Broncos: La’el Collins, OT/G, LSU
Now that Orlando Franklin is in San Diego something must be done about finding a long term solution at guard. As I predicted in my last 2015 mock draft, Owen Daniels signed with Denver so no Maxx Williams here.

29. Colts: Markus Golden DE Missouri
The Colts could stand to grab another pass rusher as Cory Redding is probably set to retire after this next season. Trent Cole is in town but he’s basically here on prowl for a ring along with Andre Johnson and Frank Gore.

30. Packers: Eric Kendricks ILB UCLA
Eric Kendricks is the prototypical inside linebacker prospect in this draft class. Seeing that this squad has tried to mend their problems on the inside by moving Clay Matthews out of position, it is finally time to move on from AJ Hawk and draft at his position.

31. Saints: Maxx Williams TE Minnesota
The Seahawks decided to do something about their tight ends and trade this pick to the Saints. Ironically, the Saints now need a tight end so the pick doesn’t actually change: Maxx Williams.

32. Patriots: Marcus Peters CB Washington
Darrelle Revis followed his heart (and wallet) back to division rival NY Jets. Brandon Browner is available in free agency, but he’s more of a #2 and not going to give you the production to justify a big contract at this point.

Peters is a gamble because of some reports that came out regarding his disagreement with his collegiate coaches. If there is any organization that could coax a young man into straightening up and playing “their way” you already know it’s this one.

The 2015 combine is in the books. A lot of prospects did their thing and improved their position by a notch or two. But let’s be fair, it was really all eyes on the quarterbacks and pass rushers over the weekend. Several of the top rushers put on a show and with that comes a new mock…

Picks below:

1. Buccaneers: Jameis Winston QB Florida State
Now that Josh McCown is gone, something has to be done. Previously I had Mariota here but there is only so long I can pretend that Jameis isn’t clearly the better player. I know he has that all 3 AM team potential, but I think he can stay out of trouble long enough to hear his name called first overall and bring some excitement to a team that badly needs it.

2. Titans: Leonard Williams DT USC
The Titans will mull over quarterback but ultimately give Zach Mettenberger a whole year to prove himself. Mariota isn’t a franchise-changing prospect in my opinion, and there will be little flack if the Titans draft the top lineman in the draft over him. Jurrell Casey is drawing a double on 90% of the snaps he plays.

3. Jaguars: Dante Fowler DE Florida
Fowler absolutely destroyed the combine as expected. He’s a physical specimen who just seems to keep getting better year after year. You know the Jaguars usually play true to the draft board and I think Fowler is going to grade out as high if not higher than Williams.

4. Raiders: Amari Cooper WR Alabama
Kevin White had an excellent combine but not enough to erase Cooper’s dominant film. Oakland needs a play-maker on the outside to help Derek Carr’s development. Cooper is highly regarded and should be a solid pro.

5. Redskins: Landon Collins S Alabama
Now that Ryan Clark is retired it is time for the Redskins to proactively find a safety. Yes, yes, this is a slight reach but the next best safety isn’t in Collins’ class. What are they going to do otherwise? Bring back Laron Landry? Knock it off…

6. Jets: Randy Gregory DE Nebraska
The Jets are committed to Geno Smith so their attention can be turned to improving the defense. There is no receiver worth picking over Gregory here, so pure talent takes precedent over immediate need. Gregory gets the nod slightly over Beasley.

8. Falcons: Shane Ray DE Missouri
The Falcons have one of the worst pass rushes in football. Let’s be honest about it. Drafting arguably the quickest pass rusher in this class absolutely makes sense.

9. Giants: Brandon Scherff OT Iowa
Scherff is being compared to Zach Martin and that’s a pretty good comparison if you ask me. The fact he’s equally as good a prospect on the inside also makes him appealing to a Giants team with questions pretty much everywhere.

10. Rams: Marcus Mariota QB Oregon
Word is that the Rams have given Sam Bradford permission to seek a trade though Jeff Fisher has publicly denied reports. Don’t be surprised to see Sam in Buffalo and Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston in St. Louis next season.

11. Vikings: DeVante Parker WR Louisville
Kevin White had a great combine but Teddy Bridgewater may have something to say about drafting his primary target from college. It just makes too much sense.

12. Browns: Kevin White WR West Virginia
And here is Mr. White. Filling in for a suspended Josh Gordon, Kevin White will look to use his 4.3 speed to make Browns fans forget about the past. Maybe the Browns trade up slightly to get Mariota if he were to fall to 10, or maybe they trade back a little to opt for who they like better between Hundley/Grayson and let someone else come get White (Seattle?)

13. Saints: Alvin Bud Dupree DE Kentucky
The Saints are also looking to bring on some pass rushers, so picking the fast rising Bud Dupree is something they don’t think twice about. He tends to have games where you forget he’s there then all of a sudden he’s all over the opposing quarterback.

14. Dolphins: Melvin Gordon III RB Wisconsin
Knowshon Moreno and Lamar Miller have been consistently inconsistent. Gordon’s your prototypical feature back and has experience playing a large number of snaps per game.

15. 49ers: Dorial Green-Beckham WR Oklahoma
I still have the 49ers taking a gamble on the DGB express. I know the NFL isn’t playing games with domestic violence but at the end of the day DGB’s incident is over a year old, and he’s still 6’5. Coach Tomsula is the kind of no nonsense type of coach that could unlock that potential.

16. Texans: Trae Waynes CB Michigan State
Waynes’ impressive combine elevates him to the first corner taken. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and isn’t afraid to hit someone, a much needed element in the Texans’ backfield.

17. Chargers: Todd Gurley RB Georgia
San Diego had to depend on the undrafted Brandon Oliver to fill the loss of Ryan Matthews. They need an explosive back to shoulder the bulk of the carries. Can Gurley be that man? I think he can.

18. Chiefs: Jaelen Strong WR Arizona State
No receiver caught a touchdown pass for this team. None! Captain Checkdown Alex Smith didn’t do this team any favors but then again this receiver squad needs a true playmaker. Jaelen Strong had a great combine and his specialty is adjusting to poorly thrown passes….

Jaelen Strong explosion numbers, and Paul Dawson's lack of them. RT @MockDraftHQ: What surprised you the most about the combine?

— Ryan Burns (@FtblSickness) February 25, 2015

19. Browns: Danny Shelton DT Washington
The Browns have invested heavily in their corners. There is a lot to be desired up front on both lines and if Shelton is there at 19 he would be a great pick to take over at the nose. Yes, Johnny Manziel is checking into rehab and is on shaky ground but he’s still young and Brian Hoyer almost led this team to a playoff berth.

20. Eagles: Jalen Collins CB LSU
The Eagles need help in the defensive backfield. The Carey Williams acquistion didn’t work out too well. Coach Kelly may bang the table and throw all the cards towards a Marcus Mariota trade, but until we get solid reports this is going to happen I’m projecting defensive help.

21. Bengals: Arik Armstead, DE/DT, Oregon
Michael Johnson’s production was sorely missed as this squad struggled to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

22. Steelers: Shaq Thompson OLB/S Washington
The Steelers come into the draft in need of a yong corner every year, and every year without fail they go in a different direction first round. Shaq Thompson had a confusing combine, and apparently more teams are looking at him as a safety.

23. Lions: Eddie Goldman DT Florida State
Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley are both eligible for free agency, and without a doubt Suh will not be back.

24. Cardinals: Denzel Perryman ILB The U
The Cardinals need a inside linebacker and Perryman is near the top of the board at this point.

I like the way he gets downfield in the run game and that athleticism will go a long way with the mobile Cam Newton.

26. Ravens: Marcus Peters CB Washington
The Ravens would like to get a player like Trae Waynes but the combine elevated him outside their pick range. Thus, they move on to gambling on Marcus Peters.

27. Cowboys: Jordan Phillips DT Oklahoma
Jerry Jones is the type of owner-GM to always go against the grain. In the past this has worked out favorably as he’s hit on some gems, especially on the offensive line. With his team desperately needing a pass rush from this defensive line, the fast riser Phillips will definitely be on Jerry’s board.

28. Broncos: La’el Collins, OT/G, LSU
Somehow La’el Collins falls in this 2015 NFL Mock Draft projection (along with Andrus Peat.) Gary Kubiak can have his pick of any of the good remaning linemen to fix the constantly shuffling mix in-front of Peyton. I predict Owen Daniels finds his way in Denver next season, so no Maxx Williams here.

29. Colts: Markus Golden DE Missouri
The Colts could stand to grab another pass rusher as Cory Redding is probably set to retire after this next season.

31. Seahawks: Maxx Williams TE Minnesota
The Seattle Seahawks for all their greatness is a team that still lacks playmakers. I doubt we’ll ever see this team invest heavily at the wide receiver position.

Now that the blunder of SB49 is behind them, Seattle is going to have to find a way to manufacture big plays without big money receivers. You could argue that the lack of a big target is the reason Seattle lost this game. Luke Willson registered zero catches in the game and missed a key block on Akeem Ayers that set up the goal-line stand.

32. Patriots: PJ Williams CB Florida State
Is Darrelle Revis going to return or is he going to cash in on yet another big money short term deal?

Preseason picks. Written around Super Bowl time, where the Broncos… ah, nevermind. Just enjoy.

Published originally: 2-7-14

1. Titans – Marcus Mariota QB Oregon
If Jake Locker can’t get it done… a replacement MUST be drafted. Mariota is Kaepernick 2.0 and will be highly coveted.

2. Jaguars – Jameis Winston QB Florida State
The Jaguars have to find a QB. Winston is local, a winner, and the top prospect.

3. Raiders -Dorial Green-Beckham WR Missouri
Beckham seems to be a bit of a knucklehead, but the talent is there. He could be the next Brandon Marshall/Demariyus Thomas.

4. Browns – Andrus Peat OT Stanford
If they draft a QB in 2014, then going forward the line will need to play well.

5. Rams – Brett Hundley QB UCLA
How long will the Rams wait on Sam Bradford to get healthy? Reports are that he will be asked to restructure in 2014. If that does not happen, you just might see Bradford cut and Kellen Clemens QB this team to the #1 pick.

6. Vikings – Shilique Calhoun DE Michigan State.
Jared Allen cannot play forever, the Vikings need to draft depth for his retirement.

7. Bills – Leonard Williams DT USC
The Bills need receivers but I’m thinking that gets done before this draft and they can turn their sights to helping Dareus and Williams.

8. Jets – Cedric Ogbuehi OT Texas A&M
If Geno shows improvement, the next thing to do will be to develop depth all around him.

9. Cardinals – Bryce Petty QB Baylor
Carson Palmer cannot play forever. Bryce Petty is in the mold of spread QBs and will bring an up tempo to this team. Runningback is a need as well.

10. Falcons – Ifo Ekpre-Olomu CB Oregon
The Falcons literally cut Asante Samuel the day before I wrote this mock… while Brent Grimes is a top 5 player in Miami.

11. Redskins – Amari Cooper WR Alabama
Jay Gruden will get the critics off Robert Griffin’s back… then we will all see he has no one to throw to.

12. Dolphins – Cameron Erving OT Florida State
Lot’s of drama on this unit. It looks like Jonathan Martin will never play for them again.

13. Texans – Mario Edwards, Jr DE Florida State
They will entertain Clowney #1 in 2014. If that doesn’t happen and they go with Manziel or Bortles then they’ll wait a year to help JJ Watt.

14. Steelers – Brandon Scherff OT Iowa
Do we need an explination? This unit has been a mess for a while.

15. Giants – Landon Collins SS Alabama
Yes, Antrel Rolle was the best safety in football statswise in 2013, but let’s be honest there is still a need in this defensive backfield.

16. Chargers – Todd Gurley RB Georgia
Ryan Matthews only had good games versus Denver… Ronnie Brown was taking important snaps from him.

17. Eagles – Vic Beasley DE/OLB Clemson
The Eagles need a young linebacker, especially a pass rusher.

18. Bears – Dante Fowler, Jr DE Florida
The Bears are among the league’s worst rushing defenses.

19. Lions – Trae Waynes CB Michigan State
Though this team needs a receiver in the worst way, I think that gets done in 2014.

20. Cowboys – Luke Kaumatule TE Stanford
Will 2014 be Jason Witten’s last season?

21. Chiefs – Randy Gregory DE Nebraska
The Chiefs have built a great defense, and now simply need to develop depth.

22. Bengals – Nelson Agholor WR USC
AJ Green and company are talented, but outside of Marvin Jones there isn’t a true complimentary receiver on this squad.

23. Ravens – T.J. Yeldon RB Alabama
Ray Rice looked hurt in 2013. Hopefully he comes back strong, or else he may lose his spot to a young gun.

24. Colts – Jordan Jenkins OLB Georgia
The Colts have to continue adding pieces to this defense.

25. Panthers – Stefon Diggs WR Maryland
After Steve Smith retires, the Panthers are going to be in trouble.

26. Saints – La’el Collins OT LSU
The Saints have young tackles they like, but they make too many mistakes. If things don’t go well in 2014, don’t rule out spending a #1 to fix that problem.

27. 49ers – Kyler Fackrell OLB Utah State
Aldon Smith came back in time for the playoffs, but then the Niners lost Bowman to a freak injury.

28. Packers – Devin Funchess TE Michigan
If Jermichael Finley is let go, there will be a need to develop some young tight ends to help Aaron Rodgers.

29. Buccaneers – Ellis McCarthy DT UCLA
Gerald McCoy is showing he is among the league’s best DT’s now it up to the Bucs to keep the double team blocks away.

30. Patriots – Melvin Gordon RB Wisconsin
Legarrette Blount is a week-to-week enigma, and Stevan Ridley will fumble away a game from time to time. Gordon is a workhorse from the Wisconsin RB factory, the perfect guy to feed touches to.

31. Seahawks – Tre Jackson OG Florida State
The Seahawks have had blocking issues all over this line, but they got it together right in time. Some of their guys may attempt to cash in on their Super Bowl XLVIII victory, leaving holes in front of Russell Wilson.

32. Broncos – Jalen Collins CB LSU
Champ Bailey will surely announce his retirement before the 2015 draft. The Broncos cannot rely on Tony Carter and Chris Harris Jr. for the long term.
