Top 5 Picks of the 2016 NFL Draft: Round 1

The 2016 Draft class has been drafted and rookie camps are underway in just a few days. But before we get into that, why not take a look back at some of the “best” picks of each round?

Of course we won’t know for two, three, or even four years if these picks are actually “good” or not but that’s what mock drafting is all about. So let’s make some educated guesses based on player position, fit, and potential in his new NFL home.

Here are my top five picks of round one:


1. Ravens Draft OT Ronnie Stanley

The Ravens are coming off a year in which Joe Flacco was seriously injured and beat to dust. Most believed Laremy Tunsil was the pick here but with his twitter account suddenly tweeting crazy pictures due to a blackmailer the Ravens went for the safer option. Most believed Tunsil and Stanley were 1 and 1A in this draft anyway.
