NoMelKiper’s Post Super Bowl 50 Mock Draft

The Super Bowl festivities are finally over. Unlike other years it is going to be very exciting to see what happens this year in the NFL. We have two teams looking to move to Los Angeles, Peyton Manning refusing to announce his retirement, key free agents like Von Miller and John Norman, and the saga of Johnny Football to keep us entertained.

No matter what happens teams will always look to reload through the draft because quite frankly that’s where all the cheap young players are.

Check out what our community member NoMelKiper thinks your favorite team is going to do in his latest 2016 NFL mock draft! His picks are always well thought out so I had to highlight his draft.

His picks below:

Some different picks here

1. Titans: Laremy Tunsil OT Ole Miss

My top pick has not changed the Titans need to protect Mariota pain and simple. What a good way to get started in doing so by taking the # 1 offensive tackle in the draft in Laremy Tunsil out of Ole Miss.

2. Browns: Carson Wentz QB North Dakota

The Browns went to the senior bowl to scout quarterbacks. They found one that they really like. Carson Wentz showed off for the NFL teams at the senior bowl and the Browns fell head over heals for Wentz with his size, arm strength, his ability to extend plays and decision making . So, Browns go quarterback and take Carson Wentz out of North Dakota.

3. Chargers: Joey Bosa DE Ohio State

The Chargers do need an offensive tackle. But, their need for a defensive play maker is right there at the top as well. With Joey Bosa still on the board the Chargers waste no time at all taking the defensive end out of Ohio State.

4. Cowboys: Jared Goff QB California

The Cowboys know that it will need to find Tony Romo’s Heir to the quarterback position. Jared Goff is one of the top quarterbacks in the draft and with the Cowboys taking the quarterback out of California they get their quarterback of the future.

5. Jaguars: Jalen Ramsey S Florida State

The Jaguars have too many holes in their defensive secondary to not take a defensive back here. Jalen Ramsey is the top defensive back in the draft and with his versatility to play safety or cornerback in the NFL the Jaguars waste no time taking the defensive back out of Florida State.

6. Ravens: Vernon Hargreaves III CB Florida

The Ravens wanted Ramsey. But, the Jaguars got to him first. But, the Ravens still get the pick of the litter as far as cornerbacks go. Vernon Hargreaves III is one of the top cornerbacks in the draft and would be a perfect fit for the Ravens secondary.

7. 49ers: DeForest Buckner DE Oregon

The 49ers do need offensive play makers. But, they do need defensive play makers just as much. With Chip Kelly with the 49ers now. He will not pass on a defensive play maker that he once coached. DeForest Buckner is one of the top pass rushers in the draft and also him being reunited with his former head coach it will be smooth sailing.

8. Dolphins: Jaylon Smith OLB Notre Dame

The Dolphins are in need of a boost at pass rush. Jaylon Smith has all the tools that the Dolphins look for in a edge rusher. So, the Dolphins go defense first and take the edge rusher out of Notre Dame in Jaylon Smith.

9. Buccaneers: Myles Jack OLB UCLA

The Buccaneers are also looking to boost their pass rush. Myles Jack is another top pass rusher and with him still on the board. The Buccaneers waste no time taking the pass rusher out of UCLA.

10. Giants: Ronnie Stanley OT Notre Dame

The Giants had a hard time protecting Eli Manning this past season. Time for an upgrade. Ronnie Stanley is one of the top offensive tackles in the draft and has the ability to come in on day one and start at left tackle for the Giants for sure.
