KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Jan. 29, 2014) – Weather 2020 meteorologists remain confident in a weather forecast issued in early January predicting no snow at Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The forecast, based on Lezak’s Recurring Cycle (LRC), a revolutionary weather forecasting technology created by Gary Lezak, a seasoned weather expert and current chief meteorologist at Kansas City’s 41 Action News, contrasts the prediction in “The Old Farmers’ Almanac” calling for bitter cold and possible snow.

As originally forecasted, Weather 2020 expects warmer air to be drawn into the areas of New York City and New Jersey on Saturday, Feb. 1, causing temperatures to surge into the 40’s through the morning of Super Bowl Sunday. A cool down is expected before kickoff but chances for snow remain at zero percent.

“Our forecast comes in sharp contrast from other weather predictors that have been warning of snow in East Rutherford for the big game,” said Lezak, Weather 2020 founder.  “We are very confident that the forecast we issued in early January will be accurate,”

The LRC based weather forecasts are available to consumers by downloading the Weather 2020 app. Available on iOS 7-enabled devices, the app provides users with weather forecasts 77 days beyond the current seven-day standard. Weather 2020 is free to download through Apple’s App Store. The free download includes Weather 2020’s short-range (seven-day) and long-range (12-week) forecasts for unlimited locations.

Personal weather balloons can customize and track events up to 12-weeks in advance with alerts of any changing conditions for designated dates. A weather balloon launch will provide app users with real-time email and ping alerts when the forecast for their tracked date is updated, a valuable feature as weather is a decisive factor when planning events and vacations. Unlimited weather balloons can be launched for one month, three months and one year for 99 cents, $2.99 and $8.99, respectively. The app includes weather forecasts for the continental U.S. and Hawaii.
