Tyrann Mathieu is just out here having fun yall. We all know Tyrann got in trouble a few months ago after his homeboys threw his picture on a flier while still playing for the LSU Tigers.

Since then Tyrann has been on a redemption tour and has put the past behind him. He claims to have kicked the marijuana habit and has stayed out of the club during his rehab.

That is until now. According to BSO Tyrann tweeted out a club flier for a “1st Round Draft Pick Party.” Only problem is that Tyrann will not be picked in the first round. He obviously feels different.

It seems like he’s just having fun out here. Until he fails another drug test let’s give him the benefit of the doubt.

It is no secret that Tryann was caught smoking synthetic marijuana about a year ago and was suspended a few games for it. Could it be a repeat violation?

Here is all we know now:

Tyrann is still easily one of the best players in the nation and still a first round pick despite this. I just hope that if he slides to my Broncos, John Elway makes no hesitation in picking up the Honey Badger..

Dyer will not be granted instant eligibility to transfer down, and he will not be with Arkansas State this upcoming season either.

Here is what his coach had to say after dismissing him from the program:

In somewhat surprising news, Arkansas coach Gus Malzahn announced Sunday night that Dyer had been dismissed from the team for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

Morris scored a whopping 4/50 on the wonderlic according to PFT:

As a corner, no one really cares. The wonderlic is a high pressure, timed IQ test that a lot of very intelligent people in all sorts of fields other than football score averagely on. Morris will be ok.

The Tide shut out the LSU Tigers en route to their second BCS title in three years. Incredible season for the Tide, and respect to the Tigers for what they have accomplished as well.

Last night the game was decided by who could get across the 50 yard line more and attempt more field goals. Ultimately, that ended up being the Tide who prevailed after having an early kick blocked and missing another. Despite the pretty good play from LSU’s defense their offense just could not manage yards. Courtney Upshaw and Donta Hightower proved why they are two of the most coveted defenders in the 2012 NFL Draft. There was no where for LSU to run, and there was no where to go deep with the football.

Oddly Jordan Jefferson still finished a respectable 11-17 but only managed 53 yards. People were clamoring for Jarrett Lee but after seeing his very “Tebow like” stat line (below 50% passing and 1 td to 7 ints) I don’t think Coach Miles really had a chance either way.

Coach Nick Saban is one of the best recruiters in the nation, and that was very apparent last night. His defense is stocked with NFL talent on all three levels, and his running back is probably the best in the nation at the position right now. With two out of three titles in three years the discussion for “best coach in America” might can start and end at Alabama.

Robert Griffin III is reportedly going pro

Peter Knoz is going pro

Knile Davis will return to Arkansas for a Senior Season

Auburn RB Michael Dyer will transfer to Arkansas State

Many of times I’ve seen Clemson games and thought

“that guy with the dreds is killing them”

And kill is exactly what Watkins does best. The plays he makes aren’t routine. They are back breaking returns, or runs after the catch. But don’t get things confused he isn’t a gadget player. With his reception numbers, he is the leader of Clemson’s receiving unit.. AS A FRESHMAN. On Saturday against Maryland, Watkins broke CJ Spiller’s school record 335 all purpose yards (33 rush, 105 rec, 207 return).

Watkins has 855 yards from scrimmage already on the season, with 728 being receiving yards. He is undoubtedly the ACC Freshman of the year.

Sammy Watkins video highlights below:

I don’t care how you feel about LSU or Les Miles you cannot deny that he has found another good one in Tyrann Mathieu. Whether it is stripping the ball, intercepting the ball, or making a sack when it is needed, Mathieu has been all around the ball. He is the biggest playmaker in the country if you ask me.

He now has four Heisman votes AS A SOPHMORE CORNERBACK.
With all that said, I was still surprised to see that he is already getting Heisman consideration. On ESPN’s Heisman watch Mathieu comes in at the #10 position with just one fifth place vote.

Normally this wouldn’t be a story but he hasn’t even played half of his sophomore season! If you don’t know the name Tyrann Mathieu I suggest you get real familiar. He’s going to be making big plays for the next year and it is no out the question that he ends up the #1 overall pick in 2013. I would not be surprised if that happened, not at all.

And this is the guy who doesn’t think any corner should go in the top 10 picks telling you…

I know you’re probably thinking “no way” but let’s look at it this way. The way Tyrann Mathieu is playing right now is on a level that is above many cornerbacks we have seen drafted in the top 10 and he can’t even declare for the draft until 2013.

Mathieu is probably the best player on LSU’s defense, and that defense is the best defense in the nation. He is always around the ball and making huge momentum changing plays. Against Oregon (a 40-27 beatdown) Mathieu stripped a kick returner and scooped up the ball for a special team touchdown. He finished the contest with 10 tackles. Yes, people 10 tackles and a touchdown against the then #3 team in the nation.

Against #25 Mississippi State Tyrann simply followed up with another 10 tackles and against #16 West Virginia he finished up with 5 tackles, a forced fumble, fumble recovery, and an interception.

It’s not often I think a cornerback is a “can’t miss” game-changing player. If anything, I’m on the side of the fence that says that you don’t need great defensive backs to win if you focus on the other seven positions. But Tyrann Mathieu has a nose for the ball and creating turnovers that we haven’t seen since dare I say Ed Reed.
