In the NFL, the great safety is a dying breed. There just aren’t enough talented playmakers to go around the league. That problem bodes well for the class of 2012. Ray Ray Armstrong currently holds a slight advantage over the Alabama duo of Rob Lester and Mark Barron, but that could easily change with Barron ending up the top safety here. We’ll have to wait and see.
