Apparently the “Time Out” Sports Bar in St. Louis was so offended by the Rams players doing the “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” they have decided to stop supporting the team altogether.

“Due to the bone headed ‘hands up, don’t shoot’ act by the number of Rams players on the Sunday game the Time Out Bar & Grill will no longer support the St Louis Rams, so we will no longer have Happy hours for the Rams games and all signs and pictures will be off the walls. … We have to stand up to thugs who destroy our community and burn down local businesses, and boycott the other thugs/organizations who support them.”

As business owners this is their right, sure. But the language they use is simply racist and prejudice in nature. I’m glad they have blown their cover and hope this community no longer supports THEM.

Let’s break down this language.

Excuse me, who are you exactly calling a thug? Would you be calling them thugs if it were four white players? Of course not.

This is just another indication of a growing majority of our country that refuses to acknowledge the injustices that people of color/urban people go through on a near daily basis. Four millionaire NFL players throwing their hands up was enough for you to call them thugs yet you have never met the men a day in your natural life. Ridiculous.

Of course “Time Out” posted a rebuttal on their Facebook after they got killed in the comments and on Yelp (you already know YA BOY is off to Yelp immediately after he clicks publish.)

“Just to clarify our point of view at Time Out. We SUPPORT FREEDOM OF SPEECH. We SUPPORT PEACEFULL (sic) DEMONSTRATION. We are NOT TAKING SIDES ON THE FERGUSON TRAGEDY. We DISAGREE WITH BRINGING THE PROTEST TO A NATIONWIDE PROFESSIONAL SPORTING EVENT. We welcome all opinions because we believe in the First Amendment, just PLEASE respect each other!”

Doesn’t that sound familiar? People not wanting their Constitutional Rights infringed upon….

“As far as the choice that the players made, no, they were exercising their right to free speech,” Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Monday. “They will not be disciplined by the club nor will they be disciplined by the National Football League as it was released today.”

These players will undoubtedly be remembered as legends for their actions Sunday. In an era where players tend to have no opinion and be politically correct robots, these players threw caution to the wind and put it all on the line.

If you want to see what shoes Tavon Austin is rocking, you can because he shares that information online. Some people enjoy the interaction. Just don’t be offended when that athlete you love to know about expresses his opinion on something other than football or entertainment.

The St. Louis Police Officers Association is profoundly disappointed with the members of the St. Louis Rams football team who chose to ignore the mountains of evidence released from the St. Louis County Grand Jury this week and engage in a display that police officers around the nation found tasteless, offensive and inflammatory.

The SLPOA is calling for the players involved to be disciplined and for the Rams and the NFL to deliver a very public apology. Roorda said he planned to speak to the NFL and the Rams to voice his organization’s displeasure tomorrow. He also plans to reach out to other police organizations in St. Louis and around the country to enlist their input on what the appropriate response from law enforcement should be. Roorda warned, “I know that there are those that will say that these players are simply exercising their First Amendment rights. Well I’ve got news for people who think that way, cops have first amendment rights too, and we plan to exercise ours. I’d remind the NFL and their players that it is not the violent thugs burning down buildings that buy their advertiser’s products. It’s cops and the good people of St. Louis and other NFL towns that do. Somebody needs to throw a flag on this play. If it’s not the NFL and the Rams, then it’ll be cops and their supporters.”

“Hands up, Don’t Shoot” goes beyond Mike Brown. It goes beyond police. It is about a society where a certain class of people thinks they can control, kill, injure, detain, and arrest another class of people for no other reason other than they can. People aren’t going to sit back and watch this anymore. 12 year boys are getting shot on sight for routine police calls. The protests are going to get larger. The time to be silent is over.

Peace to the freedom fighters.

In a small gesture of solidarity, the Rams players did the “Hands up, Don’t Shoot” for Ferguson. As you probably know by now the officer (Darren Wilson) who shot and unarmed teenager named Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri was not indited on criminal charges.

Stay strong Missouri. Stay strong.

I want to be clear that Nick Young is not advocating violence or anything of the like, he is simply saying “No more peace.” No more peace has personified itself across the country in the form of different rallies and protests which have been largely non-violent despite media reports.

However in Minneapolis evil has reared its ugly head. Some lowlife decided to plow their car through people just because they didn’t agree with them. Remember we have the right to assemble and everyone must respect that.

People please be safe out there. If you are planning to attend the rally’s in your state please learn the laws in your state and don’t be afraid to defend yourself. Evil knows no limits.
