Black Lives Don’t Matter. [Editorial]
Black Lives Don’t Matter.
I really have nothing more to say on the subject. Black. Lives. Do. Not. Matter.
There is no other group of people who have to hit the streets time and time again to air their grievances against the political establishment they’re born under. The scenes in Dallas, Baton Rouge, Ferguson, etc. resemble that of a third world country. This should not be happening in the United States of America under the constitution that gives us all “equal rights.” Not good ole ‘Murica!
Are the police killing whites, hispanics, asians, etc? Yes. As a matter of fact approximately 70% of the people police kill every year are white.
But this is different. Something isn’t right.
In the past few years there have been twelve high profile cases in which an unarmed black man or woman was executed. There have been exactly zero convictions. This is a problem.
The calmness an officer can take a life over absolutely nothing is chilling. That can be any one of us at any given moment. An officer can just choose to take your life and there is nothing you can do about it.
This is illustrative of a bigger problem in this country. Americans simply do not care for black people. Our mere existence threaten them at large.
Why do I say this? As a realist I just follow the data.
If you cannot convict a man for shooting a 12 year old in less than two seconds upon arriving on the scene, then you simply do not value black life. This would be the literal equivalent of the Sandy Hook shooter walking free via grand jury because they have no motive, or whatever lie they choose to tell on the day.
Black America as a whole has suffered this uppercut to the stomach too many times. Philando Castile is Alton Sterling is Eric Garner is Tamir Rice is…. see where I am going with this?
But “Racism will end when white people speak up!”
White America doesn’t care. Just put the word “Dindu” into Youtube. There are millions of video views on vile, racist videos that openly justify violence towards Black Americans.
I don’t have the answers. No one does.
Something must be done.
The HD cameras don’t matter.
Black lives don’t matter.
