Kenjon Barner’s Record Day: #1 RB in 2013 Draft?

I am sure by now you heard of the historic beatdown Oregon put on USC. In the words of famous battle rapper Loaded Lux, USC got that work and no one was handing out more work than running back Kenjon Barner.

Barner torched the Trojans for 321 yards and 5 touchdowns. You read that right, 321 and 5. For most running backs that’s 3 games worth of stats! The night was historically USC’s worst defensive outing since the 1940’s.

That performance brings the question is Kenjon the #1 running back in the 2013 draft classs?

I have to say not quite yet. I love what Barner brings to the table and I think the Senior will be coveted higher than former teammate LaMichael James. I just don’t see a few games of eye popping stats overtaking Leveon Bell of Michigan State.

With Marcus Lattimore injured there is a lane opened up for some runner to be drafted in his spot and I expect that to be Bell. Barner would be my #2 back with Joseph Randle of OSU a distant third.
