2012 NFL Mock Draft: Cincinnati Bengals

By
Updated: October 14, 2011

The Bengals are a team that is obviously rebuilding. After losing starting QB Carson Palmer to “retirement” and shipping away top receivers Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens, the Bengals started 2011 from the bottom looking up in the AFC.

The following is a draft created by user WhyNot26, and is his projection for what the Bengals might choose to do this Spring. Remember that Ochocinco was traded for an additional fifth so the 6th pick is an additional fifth rounder.

Let’s see how he did:

1

Bengals

Claiborne, Morris

CB from LSU

Clements And Jones are Past their Prime, so we need to get someone opposite of Hall

2

Bengals

DeCastro, David

OG from Stanford

Need to Address the guard position, Williams is aging and Livings is barely holding the fort on pass protection.

3

Bengals

Pead, Isaiah

RB from Cincinnati

would be a steal if fall into the 3rd, the guy is a home run runner, just need to bulk up a bit to 210 or 215 but the guy can catch out of the backfield

4

Bengals

Whitley, Eddie

S from Virginia Tech

Need some help behind Nelson, their isnt a true Center-Field Safety behind Nelson

5

Bengals

Lindley, Ryan

QB from San Diego State

A QB similar to Dalton, Smart and has a lot of accuracy, and benefit in the WCO, and can be a Matt Flynn

6

Bengals

Blake, Philip

C from Baylor

Need a True Backup Center, There’s no one behind Cook

7

Bengals

Fletcher, Donnie

CB from Boston College

Adding more depth to the back end since Clements and Jones is aging

8

Bengals

Harrell, Logan

DT from Fresno State

Another Body into the Deep D-Line Rotation
