The Ravens have officially released longtime kicker Justin Tucker. The move comes amid serious off-field allegations involving Tucker, who has been accused of misconduct by 16 massage therapists from eight different spas and wellness centers in the Baltimore area, according to The Baltimore Banner.

Ravens general manager and executive vice president Eric DeCosta issued a statement addressing the decision, calling it “incredibly difficult.”

“Sometimes football decisions are incredibly difficult, and this is one of those instances,”
DeCosta said. “Considering our current roster, we have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker. Justin created many significant and unforgettable moments in Ravens history. His reliability, focus, drive, resilience and extraordinary talent made him one of the league’s best kickers for over a decade. We are grateful for Justin’s many contributions while playing for the Ravens. We sincerely wish him and his family the very best in this next chapter of their lives.”

Tucker, 35, leaves behind a legacy as arguably the greatest kicker in NFL history, known for his clutch performances, record-setting accuracy, and iconic game-winners. He played a critical role in some of Baltimore’s biggest moments over the past decade and was a beloved figure both on and off the field—until now.

The misconduct allegations, which have not yet resulted in any formal charges, are likely to dominate the conversation in the coming weeks and may shape how Tucker’s legacy is ultimately remembered. While the Ravens did not cite the accusations directly in their statement, the timing of the release has left little doubt about the weight they carried in the organization’s decision.

This marks a sudden and controversial end to an era in Baltimore—one that may forever be shadowed by the questions now surrounding Tucker’s off-field conduct.
