Colin Cowherd’s Updated 2021 NFL Mock Draft

After today’s 49ers/Dolphins trade everyone is scrambling to update their mocks. That includes Colin Cowherd who published a mock yesterday only to have to update it today.

So let’s break this down again.

The good:

The 49ers take their pick of the top QBs.

The trade basically telegraphs that the 49ers are going to move on a QB. No way you do that deal and then draft Sewell (which would be a great pick if they didn’t trade 3 firsts to get into position.)

The bad:

Again, Trey Lance over Fields? The Trey Lance that played like 300 snaps his whole career? I guess the tangibles are there, but Fields is more tested.

The ugly:

Where is Jaylen Waddle? Everyone agrees he is the better Alabama receiver if not the best in this entire class. Of course Colin leaves him out the top 12.
