3 XFL Players Who Will Be in the NFL Next Year

The XFL is back and it is pretty fire. Vince McMahon continues to prove why he is one of the greatest American entrepreneurs of all time as he bounced back from a loss over 20 years ago to bring back the once laughed at league.

No the ball was not perfect, but guys competed and gave us a level of access that NFL players would never. Multiple players and coaches had hot mics at all times and let us in on the game in a way we never saw before.

With that said there are a few players who caught my eye and I will tell you they certainly will be in the NFL next year.

1. PJ Walker QB Houston

Everyone is talking about this guy for a reason. The ball comes off his hand with a beautiful touch and he just looks the part. He’s a little short at slightly under 6′ but the guy can ball. Tight spirals, timing, touchdowns, the guy had it all.

2. Cardale Jones QB DC

Cardale never really got his shot in the NFL. That will change soon. We all know what he can do with that big arm and body control at over 240 lbs. If I’m a team like the Redskins I don’t let Cardale get out of DC without giving him a real contract. At the very least Dwayne Haskins will have some real comp in camp.

3. Jordan Ta’amu QB St. Louis

Jordan is more of a raw prospect but you can see it’s all there. The elusiveness, the speed, and the touch. The accuracy and timing needs improvement but the guy is under 23 years old. He has a lot of the skills you look for already in tow. Starting professional games in the XFL will only make him better.

There are other guys like Sammie Coates and Shawn Oakman who will likely be in the league but at one time they were first round prospects so everyone knows about them. I just wanted to highlight the quarterbacks for now. The XFL is off to a good start and here’s to it staying around this time!
