6. Redskins: Ryan Glasgow DT Michigan

Rd. 5, Pick 156. The Redskins select DT/NT Ryan Glasgow 6-3, 300 lbs. (not sure about the weight, seems heavier than listed) Glasgow moves well for his size and could see time at end in certain packages. Stout run defender, penetrates well, can beat double teams, very strong, good motor.

7. Redskins: Dion Dawkins OT Temple

Rd. 6, Pick 200. The Redskins select OT Dion Dawkins 6-5, 320 lbs. The Redskins could use and upgrade at swing tackle. Dawkins has built himself into a solid player and has plenty of upside. He my even develop into a solid starter.

8. Redskins: De’Veon Smith RB Michigan

Rd. 6, Pick 204. The Redskins select RB De’Veon Smith 5-11, 228 lbs. Smith is a workhorse type back that is very good at making the first guy miss. Hard to bring down he is a load. Good speed but not break away stuff. Comes from a old school pro style power offense, shouldn’t take long to get NFL ready.

9. Redskins: Xavier Woods S Louisiana Tech

Rd. 7, Pick 241. The Redskins select FS Xavier Woods 5-11, 194 lbs. Although slightly undersized, Woods shows a lot of potential. A standout on specials teams, Woods really brings the lumber when he hits someone. (yeah, I went there.) He is really at home playing center field, excellent ball skills, solid in coverage, solid tackler, has excellent range. Should develop into a solid starter in a couple of years.
