Arizona Cardinals to Draft Matt Barkley?

The Arizona Cardinals are holding a private workout with former USC QB Matt Barkley. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Cardinals are doing their due diligence. Schefter reported on ESPN that it doesn’t appear that the Cardinals would use a high draft pick on a quarterback but “anything is possible” after their first pick.

The Cardinals acquired Carson Palmer for a 7th round pick, so there is at least one quarterback on the roster. However with Carson’s age they need a young heir apparent on the roster. Could that be Matt Barkley?
We’ll see.
