Johnny Manziel Wins 2013 Heisman Trophy

For the first time ever the Heisman Trust has inducted a freshman, and his nickname is “Johnny Football.”

That’s right Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M took home the Heisman in one of the most unique ceremonies ever. The top two vote-getters were the freshman, Manziel, and a defensive player in Manti Teo.

A lot of people are upset but I have this to say: if you don’t like it maybe your favorite team should have stopped him? Oh that’s right, they probably couldn’t. Manziel has a checkered past, and a non-traditional way of playing but he just gets it done. He deserved the trophy as much as anyone in the nation. I doubt you’ll find a football fan that would argue he didn’t deserve to win on some level.

On a side note, USC’s Marqise Lee placed 4th and Braxton Miller placed 5th.
