2013 NFL Draft: Should the Cowboys Draft a Linebacker?

By
Updated: October 25, 2012

If you have been following the Cowboys (how can’t you with the way mass media covers them) then you know that one of the few bright spots on their defense is LB Sean Lee. While Lee is great, he just went back on IR with a major toe injury.

This is the second year that Lee has ended early due to injury. Part of that could be bad luck, or the pounding from being a linebacker in general… but should the Cowboys hedge their bet on Sean Lee already?

There will be some good linebackers available in the 2013 draft. Guys like Chase Thomas and Sean Porter will be available in the second and third rounds. It sure wouldn’t hurt to get another young player to fill in for Lee if he gets injured again or has an unexpectedly short career.

Cowboys fans… your thoughts?
