2012 NFL Draft: Wyoming RB Alvester Alexander Declares
Another day, another running back declares for the NFL Draft. That makes it 12 underclassmen runners to throw their names in the hat. Alvester Alexander out of Wyoming is the latest to do so.
I said just a few days ago that the value of the “can’t miss” running back is dwindling in these current times… and I cannot feel any more correct. With 12 underclassmen running backs it is likely that every team that wants to draft a running back this year will get the chance to do so.
Here are the details from PFT:
“Alvester (Alexander) has decided that he wants to make himself eligible for the NFL Draft at this time,” said head coach Dave Christensen in a statement. “He feels that this decision is best for he and his family. It is his decision to make, and we can only wish him the best of luck as he pursues this next step in his career. We thank Alvester for his contributions over the past three seasons, including helping us to earn two bowl appearances.”
