Broncos Trade Brandon Lloyd for 6th Round Pick

If you have not heard by now, the Denver Broncos have decided to part ways with leading receiver Brandon Lloyd. Lloyd was shipped to the St. Louis Rams for a 6th round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. That 6th can be upgraded to a 5th if Lloyd catches 30 passes the remainder of the season.

Lloyd is a 30 year old WR who has been on like 5 NFL teams so far. He’s only had one good year, last year, and isn’t in the class of Calvin and Andre Johnson. The thought of him being a dominant #1 WR is laughable. Many Broncos fans feel that Lloyd was let go too cheaply but you have to look at it like this- at least you got something for him.

The Rams are winless and still need help on offense. The Broncos have one win and are in total rebuild mode. The rest of the season is nothing but an audition for Tim Tebow, Knowshown Moreno, and the rest of Josh McDaniels’ disappointing draft picks.

Expect to see the Broncos totally clean house this off-season. Lloyd was just the first domino to fall.
