Why Baker Mayfield Got TRADED To The Panthers

The Browns finally traded Baker Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers after months of trade rumors. The Panthers will give up a 5th that could upgrade to a 4th. Mayfield will take a slight pay cut but can earn it back via incentive.

Cleveland ruined the relationship with Mayfield after openly inquiring on availability of Deshaun Watson. There was no choice but to move on from Mayfield who at this point in his career is a decent starter but not a franchise QB.
