If you remember, Jay did receive a small percent of a percentage for being part of the marketing for the Nets relocation to Brooklyn.

The Washington Football Team may soon have a prominent new investor. According to a report from Burgundy Blog, Jay-Z is “actively divesting” assets to position himself for purchase of stake in the franchise.

“If you listen to my podcast… I’ve been saying this for months,” NBC Sports Washington’s JP Finlay said Wednesday on 106.7 The Fan, lending some credence to the report. “I heard it from somebody sort of connected to the NFL eight, nine months ago that this could happen.”

“Listen, Dan Snyder just had to take out a debt to buy off the rest of the team,” Finlay said. “Eventually he’s going to sell out parcels of this team again. That’s how it works. You’re gonna get some cash.”

The Washington Football Team invested the 15th pick in Haskins just a few years ago. He can definitely play in the league if he matures and becomes a more studied quarterback. Most quarterbacks do not have his physical tools including the one legged QB Alex Smith who recovered from a career ending injury to send Haskins to the bench.

I don’t think this is the last of Haskins but he is going to have to make a big change publicly to find somewhere to play. If by chance this gets to the young man, no more insta, no more twitter. Just put the work in and let your agent do the talking.
