Hendon Hooker is a 6’4″ quarterback from Tennessee with a well-rounded skill set. He has experience playing in both the ACC and the SEC, and has shown the ability to perform at a high level against tough competition.

One of Hooker’s best attributes is his ability to extend plays with his mobility. He’s a threat to run the ball himself or find an open receiver downfield after escaping the pocket. He has the speed and agility to make defenders miss and pick up extra yardage.

In addition to his running ability, Hooker also has a strong arm and can make all the throws required of an NFL quarterback. He can zip the ball into tight windows and has the touch to drop it in over defenders. His accuracy has improved over his career, and he’s shown the ability to make good decisions with the football.

One area where Hooker could improve is his consistency. At times, he can be streaky and struggle to find a rhythm on offense. He’ll need to work on his footwork and mechanics to become more consistent and accurate.

Overall, Hooker has the potential to be a starting quarterback at the next level. His mobility and arm talent make him a versatile and dangerous threat on offense. He should be a mid-round draft pick and could develop into a quality starter with the right coaching and development.

Everyone wanted to know where Malik Willis would go and now we know: The Tennessee Titans! The Titans saw the young passer still on the board and could not resist any longer.

Willis started the draft process at the top of many mocks but started to fall once his game was picked apart. He still tore it up at his pro day, throwing 60 and 70 yard bombs to the delight of scouts. It is a very special time to be a Titan fan and hopefully Willis makes the selection very special.

The Tennessee Titans are a team loaded with promise. With one of the best young QBs in the game along with a monster OL and two beastly running backs, the sky is the limit for this franchise.

The only thing left for this franchise appears to be rebuilding the defense and they should be right back into the hunt in the AFC South. So what players can help make this happen? Glad you asked.

Here is the latest 2017 Tennessee Titans Mock Draft thanks to Cowboysfan1993:

1. Titans: Jamal Adams S LSU

Round 1 The Titans secondary is an absolute mess. Only Jason McCourty is starting caliber. The rest either need to assume backup duties or find a new team. I think there are talented CB in this draft, but none are worth a top 5 pick. Adams is a big S that can play SS or FS, but best at SS where the team can utilize his skillset. He isn’t a free range guy, but he is big enough and physical enough to handle TE around the LOS and make tackles on the RB. He can cover, which is always coveted. He is a sound tackle. His issues are that again while he can cover, he doesn’t have a whole lot of range, he needs to learn how to wrap up better as well. The Titans are well on their way to getting a dominant offense, but need a defense that can get that offense on the field.

2. Titans: John Ross WR Washington

Round 1 The Titans have nearly everything they need on offense minus WR help. Kendall Wright is a FA and the rest are ok. They need someone who cannot only be a receiving threat, but be able to stretch the defense to give their RB more room to work with. Ross may not be the tallest guy, but he is a legit 4.3 guy at worst. He knows how to get behind a defense, but is also good at being able to handle a jet sweep, run screens, and shorter routes. While his route running is far from perfect, it is adequate enough combined with his speed to be an early success. He is again pretty small and suffered a serious leg injury in the past, he also can be a body catcher at times.

3. Titans: Curtis Samuel WR/RB Ohio St.

Round 3 This is Curtis Samuel WR/RB from Ohio St. Face it the Titans can’t fix everything in one offseason. CB is a bigger need, but WR is still a need for them. They have literally no one to threaten the outside. There isn’t a CB worthy of this spot. They go with Curtis Samuel. Samuel is more of a player in teh mold of say a Randall Cobb or Percy Harvin. He is a number 2 WR, who can handle being sent on passing patterns, while being able to line up in the backfield as a RB. He can also handle PR and KR duties. Curtis Samuel has a bigger frame than both Cobb and Harvin, so durability may not be as big of an issue. If you add Samuel, you will give the Titans a different dynamic on offense and really be able to open things up for young Marcus Mariota.

Ever since Bud Adams died the Tennessee Titans’ ownership has been split in a “hedge fund” type of ownership. There are multiple owners and they do not seem to be on the same page. Except for: making money.

As a Bobcats/Hornets fan I will say its really hard for the fans when the team ownership looks more interested in making money rather than winning. There are only two reasons to support a team and that’s if it wins and if it’s trying to win eventually. No one wants to pay $80-200 for a losing product but when they do it doesn’t entice the owners to build a winner.

The NFL seems quietly upset that the Titans aren’t interested in winning. Mike Mularkey unexpectedly became the permanent head coach after being the interim coach this past season.

Now that the Titans’ General Manager has publicly said that the team is interested in any and all offers for the #1 pick, the NFL is slowly moving in. People are predicting a Donald Sterling like coup of ownership in an effort to bring Nashville a team that is interested in winning.

Check out the clip below in which the hot topic of Titans ownership is discussed in depth (4:33):

Texans running back Arian Foster has come forward in an ESPN show yet to be aired and admitted to taking illegal benefits at the University of Tennessee. Foster says that his coach brought him and a few other players a meal at a time that they were dead broke and hungry.

This isn’t shocking because it happens all the time. My only question is why would Foster wait years later to snitch? What benefit will Foster receive from doing this?

Athletes need to be paid while they are in college, period. We all know this. However guys like Foster coming forward and throwing it in the NCAA’s faces that they took benefits on the side is not going to help the case. We all how quickly Dez Bryant lost his eligibility after he admitted to having lunch with Deion Sanders.

Tyler has made it official he is going to throw his hat into the 2013 draft ring, just a few days after teammate Justin Hunter did the same.

Here is the leak from a “source”, and my thoughts:

QB Tyler Bray is leaving Tennessee to put his name into April’s NFL Draft, a source tells CBS.

— Bruce Feldman (@BFeldmanCBS) December 20, 2012

As everyone knows, I’ve had Tyler in the top 10 of several of my previous mocks without shame. I think with the right group of receivers, Tyler is going to be a very good QB. If I had to make a comparison off the top of my head I’d say he’s in that Tony Romo/Jay Cutler mold. Hopefully Bray will get to a team that will help him become a professional and develop his skills quickly.

Right now it’s looking like he will be a second rounder… the Jets, Cowboys, Raiders, or Bills need to go ahead and draft him if they can.

Just this past draft he fell in love with Brock Osweiler out of the blue, declaring that my Denver Broncos should have used a first round pick on him. Thankfully, they didn’t because there has been documented history of McShay being way off.

See: Is Todd McShay a Quarterback Killer?

Now McShay is bring the bandwagon to the trail of one Tyler Wilson of Arkansas. In the process he took the opportunity to bury Tyler Bray of Tennessee on his leadership qualities via twitter:

UT QB Tyler Bray is far superior to ARK QB Tyler Wilson in size potential, arm strength and most importantly accuracy.

— Todd McShay (@McShay13) July 2, 2012

But Wilson much better leader and tougher on tape.If Bray emerges as leader, learns to hang tough in pocket he’s a 1st RD talent…HUGE if’s

— Todd McShay (@McShay13) July 2, 2012

I think Bray needs to grow up, which will happen naturally as he is the leader. I see no Ryan Leaf in him. I see a little bit of cockiness like a Tom Brady, minus of course the rings.

No need to sugar coat it. CJ held out, got his money and things have not been the same since. Fantasy owners all over the country, and maybe the Titans themselves, are fed up with CJ2K’s lack of production.

As teams prepare their list of potential free agents in 2012, there’s a fairly big name that some currently are putting in the “maybe” category. Per a league source, several teams believe that the Titans could release running back Chris Johnson before the fifth day of the 2012 league year, at which time his base salary of $8 million becomes fully guaranteed.

The thing is you don’t know what is going on with Chris. Maybe he is just having a off year. Maybe he played for a contract. Maybe he is trying to get out of town after a long and ugly holdout. We don’t know.

What we do know is that Chris Johnson has the talent to be the best back in football and you simply don’t release that kind of talent. Who are you going to replace him with? Javon Ringer?

If all else fails, CJ runs a record label and could always end up being the next Birdman or Diddy. You never know. Crazier things have happened.

He will be out for up to the next 4 weeks.

Both the Knoxville News Sentinel and CBS Sports.com‘s Tony Barnhart are reporting that X-rays have confirmed the Tennessee starting quarterback suffered a broken thumb on his right (throwing) hand in the loss to Georgia Saturday. As a result, Bray will be sidelined for at least the next four weeks.

You hate to see that happen. It’s not like Tennessee was going to win the SEC anyways (let’s not kid ourselves) so it is probably best Bray heals completely up and does not jeopardize himself for the long term.
