With the Horned Frogs getting ready to go to the Alamo Bowl Saturday, Boykin decided to hit the town with his boys and ended up hitting a few people in the process. Cops were called and Boykin had to be restrained against his will. Of course the team has suspended him for the bowl as this cannot be tolerated.

I don’t know where in America a black man would think it would be cool to punch cops, but apparently when you are the big man on campus logic totally goes out the window. Boykin is lucky that he did not end up the next Mike Brown. The cops could have easily unloaded a magazine in his back and claimed he was reaching for their weapons…. say it with me… ALLEGEDLY.

He probably feels horrible right now. At one time Casey Pachall and his Horned Frogs were legit BCS contenders now after a slew of bad decisions Casey has found himself getting DWI’s and the team has blemished their unbeaten streak.

Hopefully this is the wake up call this young man needs.

Pachall will be taking time off and will not play for TCU the rest of the 2012 season. Pachall has dis-enrolling from the university this semester and will enroll in a drug/alcohol treatment center. There is an option for him to return during the upcoming spring. Pachall is a redshirt junior and has one season of eligibility left.

That was before he decided to get behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated and cost himself his spot on the team for the time being:

According to NBC DFW, Pachall was arrested overnight Wednesday near TCU’s campus on a DWI charge. The report states that an officer witnessed a car, operated by Pachall, failing to stop at a stop sign and hitting a curb. After being pulled over, Pachall reportedly registered a blood alcohol concentration level greater than .15.

TCU coach Gary Patterson has announced that starting quarterback Casey Pachall has been suspended indefinitely.

The ironic thing is that the biggest knock on Casey is “is this the type of kid you can trust with your football team?” Looks like that question will linger on until he goes without incident on or off the field for an extended amount of time.

Robert Griffin III, a dark horse in the 2012 draft for a lot of people, showed off his talent running the a ball, throwing the ball, AND catching the ball in a upset over 14 TCU last night. Grifffin’s night was highlighted by several very accurate passes for touchdowns, as his Baylor team fought off the comeback of the TCU Frogs.

In the end, it was Griffin redeeming himself with a reception on a trick play after fumbling on the previous drive to convert a first down for what would end up being the game winning field goal. After what Griffin did he is the first name to stamp his name on the Heisman bandwagon.

Griffin went 21 of 27 attempts for 359 yards and 5 touchdowns. Not shabby. I still like Ryan Tannehill as my dark horse first round QB, but Griffin is going to keep making it hard to keep him out the first round.

The Jaguars, Bengals, and 49ers have also visited TCU as well.  All of these teams could benefit from having a young passer like Dalton developing on the roster.  He may not be a starer from day 1 but down the road he may develop into that gritty Jake Delhomme/Jeff Garcia type of QB that just gets the job done.

Dalton is projected to be a 3rd or 4th round pick in this year’s NFL Draft.

Chad Scott tweets on Miami’s WR Leonard Hankerson:

“I don’t care how good Miami WR Leonard Hankerson looks at the #seniorbowl, I saw him drop enuf critical passes this season 2 not draft him”

Several other people tweeted that Florida State’s Rodney Hudson was extremely impressive.  He did a lot of work at the center position.
