The Tampa Bay Buccaneers put it all together and got rolling at the right time on the road to a Super Bowl 55 victory last Sunday in Tampa. Even though the Bucs are flying high off the victory they are not done competing for championships.

According to ESPN, there is now a strong rumor of a Odell Beckham to Tampa Bay trade. Tampa will likely lose Chris Godwin in free agency, so it does make sense. But will it actually happen? We’ll have to wait and see.

Tom Brady and the Bucs just won Super Bowl 55. It was a decent game, but we all knew that Tampa was going to dominate the makeshift offensive line Kansas City trotted out there.

Patrick Mahomes was pressured on over 50% of his pass attempts. You just can’t win when your QB is throwing the ball from 20 yards behind the scrimmage.

But what is more interesting is the fact that the Bucs “won the Super Bowl in free agency” and then went onto win the actual Super Bowl. That’s right. The Bucs won Super Bowl 55 through scoring points with players who all were acquired no more than 11 months ago. Crazy.

The Tampa Bay Football team has announced they are meeting with free agent WR Antonio Brown AKA AB.

Antonio Brown always wanted to play with Tom Brady and they looked unstoppable in the one game they played together in New England. I’m not sure the Bucs have enough snaps to go around to keep AB happy but if he will fall in line and be a role player for any QB it is his boy Tom Brady.

Here is what we know about the Buccaneers signing Antonio Brown:

Veteran free agent Antonio Brown will visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday, according to league sources. Both sides are highly motivated to reach an agreement. This move, once finalized, would reunite Brown with his friend and former teammate Tom Brady

The Bucs put a lot of pressure on kicker Roberto Aguayo after using a second round pick on him in the 2016 NFL Draft. Aguayo was a great college kicker and was also on the same 2013 championship winning team that now Bucs QB Jameis Winston started on.

Aguayo has been shanking a lot of kicks lately and has apparently been just as bad at practice over the last few weeks so instead of just “going through the motions” he’s seeking outside help:

Via JoeBucsFan.com, Roy Cummings told 620 WDAE that Aguayo has contacted former NFL kicker Ryan Longwell, former Buccaneers special-teams coordinator Bill Miller, and a “mental coach.” Aguayo admitted that his confidence has been shaken “a little bit.”

-PFT

Props to him for being mature enough to seek help to get through this. At age 22 he could have 18 NFL seasons in front of him so there is no need for the Bucs to panic yet. Let the man work himself out and re-access the situation at week 6 if you absolutely have to cut bait with him.

Brian Price and Gerald McCoy were supposed to be the anchors of the new improved Tampa defense that never materialized. Hopefully in Chicago Brian picks it up, and the Buccaneers can find a defensive tackle that fits with their team more.

Jordan Jefferson, who you last saw in the National Championship game at LSU, has been cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just four days after his pro career started. The Bucs announced their waiving of Jefferson today.

I don’t think that anyone believed that Jefferson would be an NFL QB. But a four day career is pretty surprising. Maybe he will resurface in the UFL (are they still having seasons?), Arena League, or the CFL.

All young QBs need only to remember the name Kurt Warner to know that it is never over until they give up. If Jordan finds somewhere to play and works on his passing, who knows maybe he springs up in the NFL later in his career.
