Now mind you, I totally recognize that WWE is Vince’s world. I don’t care about who’s a “good wrestler” and all of that. It’s a work. It’s entertainment. It’s a TV show. I do not look at this as a simulated sport or anything like that. More of a television drama based around a ring.

I know my history but I understand in this era none of that matters. If WWE could have it their way us older “smart” fans would move on and find something else to watch. They are in the business of catering to the lowest common denominator (I.E. CHILDREN) and could care less who has the better “work rate” or who won this or that title in the indys.

Now that THAT’S out of the way… on to the 2016 WWE Draft.

My first thoughts on it is that this isn’t going to work. There is just not enough talent to go around. Filling five hours of live TV means that you have to split all of the resources down the middle and cannot share them like we’ve seen on combined RAW/SD! shows.

That means there will likely be two main event titles which is a bad move IMO as one is always booked more important than the other. Can this roster really maintain two titles, 10 active feuds, thriving tag team & women’s divisions, and the development equivalent of said divisions on NXT? Probably not.

The roster split will be another band-aid to try to solve the problem that there are just not enough stars. It is not a good thing in a business that relies on the millions of casual fans that the company cannot seem to create new ones. Talented performers such as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are being positioned as these new stars but the “smart” fans refuse to give them any time to develop especially if the character doesn’t resemble something they saw in the indys or developmental.

In what world does hating the characters that the company is going to depend on in the next 5-10 years with make sense?

There is a reason Seth Rollins is playing the top heel. There is a reason Roman Reigns is playing an indestructible good guy. And here’s a secret: NO MATTER HOW MANY BLOGS YOU READ YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT IS PLANNED FOR THE FUTURE FOR THESE CHARACTERS…

And thus is the true problem here. A roster split will not change the fact that the internet fans will just want things because they saw it on the indys with no credence to future character builds or the future of the company.

This roster split isn’t what’s best for business. Neither are smarks.

She went on several IG rants about Nazi’s and of course went in on black people because Disney’s Tiana is too black for her. Not that is really mattered or should bother her at all that a fictional character is portrayed as African American. (Note: these posts were posted in 2012 and retrieved by internet sleuths.)

It just shows you the country we live in when the reigning WWE champion can publicly endorse such behavior and date a person who would publicly write “black people don’t buy their kids toys.”

Just let that sink in for a minute….

Methinks this won’t end like the Hogan situation because Rollins like Zahra is a handpicked NXT talent but WWE must do something if they have ALLEGED racists representing their brands…

To keep score, there are also nice nasty body shaming comments, disrespectful comments about Native Americans, and LGBT people as well.

I have no dog in this fight as I am not associated with WWE one way or the other. To sum up this debacle in the words of the great Loaded Lux:

Update: She’s been fired per TMZ

WWE diva Zahra Schreiber, the girlfriend of WWE superstar Seth Rollins, has been fired from the organization because of pro-Nazi artwork she posted on her Instagram.

Zahra posted pics back in 2012 of swastikas and a “My Little Pony” character dressed as Hitler … one-armed salute and all. She removed the pics but someone dug them up over the weekend.
