Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio Beckham reported during the Sunday Night Football pregame broadcast that Beckham prefers to become a free agent and wants to join the Seattle Seahawks. Florio added that the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints are also considered “teams to watch.”

The Seahawks can place a claim for Beckham. However, the team is ninth in the NFL waiver-claiming order, meaning any team above them that submits a claim for the star receiver would have priority. Seattle might have a better chance to land him if he were to become a free agent. per Bleacher Report.

While the team put up a good fight down in Dallas, they still lost to the late game heroics of Dak Prescott and friends. Russell Wilson is as good as he’s ever been. The future is bright with the young players on this team yet to hit their prime.

2019 Seattle Seahawks mock draft below:

1. Seahawks: Daniel Cooney OT U San Diego

Round 1 Cody Ford Oklahoma 6’4″ 340 lbs. The Seahawks O line issues are well known. They are porous at best. Wilson has saved the offense from being sacked a lot more with his ability to scramble and extend plays. Ford is a massive OT who could also play OG if need be. I would rather start him at RT to start off and then move him inside if it doesn’t pan out. His technique can be all over the place, but he is so nimble he tends to get away with it. He is naturally gifted, and really was the only O lineman to show up against Bama. The Seahawks will love his strength and nasty demeanor.

2. Seahawks: Amani Oruwariye CB Penn State

Round 3 Shaq Griffin is good, but he also got picked on by Dallas. I think he will continue to have a good career, but the Seahawks could use another CB to pair with him. Amani is a larger CB at 6’0″ around 215 lbs. He’s almost built like a S. He isn’t great in terms of man coverage, is more of a zone CB, which really fits the Seahawks play style. Despite being a tall CB, he doesn’t always play physical. Can sometimes get a little outmuscled. Speed is solid, not great.

3. Seahawks: Mitchell Wilcox TE South Florida

Round 4 TE may not be the biggest need for Seattle, but getting an athletic difference maker is. Wilcox plays with an understanding how to get open and fake out defenders. He is a vertical threat. Has natural speed and a good second gear. Does not fear going over the middle and taking contact. He isn’t ever going to be a great blocker, but he could develop into a decent one with coaching.

4. Seahawks: Greg Gaines DT Washington

Round 5 The Seahawks could use another guy inside. Gaines isn’t a pass rusher, but he’s a large man who can clog up running lanes allowing Jarran Reed and Frank Clark to rush the passer on passing downs.

Instead the PD wrote a letter about Bennett’s anthem protest, the NFL, and why the NFL should look into punishing Bennett for simply expressing what we all saw on TMZ video.

We live in some strange times. Hopefully one day society can exist in a space where citizens don’t have to be equally suspicious of potential rogue officers as they are of random black men.

Seahawks DE Michael Bennett was almost the latest victim of unnecessary police violence at the hands of two overzealous cops. Bennett just happened to be somewhere where shots let off and being a black man over 6 foot he was automatically treated as the main subject.

This is why they kneel. This is why people say black lives matter (they don’t to the system.) If you can’t see that you are just too blind and too privileged to have the conversation.

Unfortunately, the team’s big idea turns out to not be joining Kaepernick or teammate Jeremy Lane in taking a knee. Instead the team will interlock arms during the anthem.

Here are the details:

“We are a team comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds, and as a team we have decided to stand and interlock arms in unity,” Baldwin says in the 42-second video posted at his Twitter page. “We honor those who have fought for the freedom we cherish, and we stand to ensure the riches of freedom and the security of justice for all people. Progress can and will be made only if we stand together.”

Good job guys. Continue to stand for a song that wishes every slave in a grave, and for the freedom of those who “protect us” in modern times to kill the descendants said slaves on video camera and go unpunished…

The anthem protests were NEVER about the military or honoring them but the mainstream (take that how you wish) has made it about that because it fits their narrative.

The whole point of the “outrage” is to keep your mind off the real problem here:

Seattle’s “stance” goes completely against the spirit of what Kaepernick is doing and is blatant pandering to the NFL’s base. To be a revolutionary you have to DO SOMETHING revolutionary. This isn’t it.

This will save people’s jobs and keep them looking good in the eyes of the NFL’s base, but ultimately means nothing.

The Seahawks have supported Colin Kaepernick and may take it a little further according to Bobby Wagner.

They may protest as an entire team:

While Wagner said he didn’t know if he would sit down during the anthem he said “anything we want to do, it’s not going to be individual. It’s going to be a team thing. That’s what the world needs to see. The world needs to see people coming together versus being individuals.”

Wagner said he couldn’t say exactly what the team might do, saying “whatever we decide to do will be a big surprise.”

I doubt the white players will join in as they are on that team before they are football players, but it sure would be nice to see solidarity.

I also wonder if they will back this protest up with some financial action? I’m not counting another man’s money though. Do what you do, this is America and the beauty of POLITICAL FREEDOM.

Jeremy Lane of the Seahawks and Eric Reid of the 49ers have also decided to sit out the anthem. Colin Kaepernick is a backup QB hanging on to his career in the grand scheme of the NFL but he’s making huge waves socially.

The dialogue that’s going down is a conversation we need to keep happening, not just when another cop takes another innocent life.

How can we be the change?

How can we make our country better for everyone?

Conservative trolls are still trolling online. Lane’s IG has already been attacked by “former” Seahawks fans who are offended that as a black man he has a political opinion that differs from their own.

Just think about that for a second. All of these men clearly respect the military.

However, in the online trolls minds they just cannot make the intellectual leap between the flag representing a country that is supposed to grant freedom and equality for all when obviously it does NOT. This system of inequality is 100% against the spirit of America in the first place.

Do they respect the fact the troops volunteer defend the country internationally? Yes.

Will they stand for the system of inequality that goes on in America? Absolutely not.

How about we just stop equating “respect” with a song written by a slave master altogether?
