Trey Lance’s impressive performance against the Raiders has not only reignited interest in his potential but also sparked speculation about the future of Cowboys’ starting quarterback, Dak Prescott. With Lance showcasing his abilities by leading three scoring drives and demonstrating his dual-threat capabilities, some are questioning whether the Cowboys might consider a future without Prescott at the helm.

Lance’s standout showing against the Raiders, where he displayed decisiveness, anticipation, and improved defensive reads, has put the spotlight on Dallas’ quarterback situation. As Lance led a 35-yard drive in just 28 seconds to close the half, capped by a 66-yard field goal, and added a touchdown pass along with 34 rushing yards, it became clear that he could be a viable option for the Cowboys moving forward.

This development has caught the attention of the Raiders, who might see an opportunity to make a bold move. With Dak Prescott likely to command a high market value in his next contract, and the Cowboys potentially looking to pay less for their quarterback position, the Raiders could consider offering significant draft capital to acquire Prescott.

For the Raiders, a trade for Prescott could provide a stable and proven quarterback presence, something the team has been searching for. With Lance now showing promise, the Cowboys might be more willing to entertain offers for Prescott, especially if it allows them to invest in other areas of the team.

As the NFL season approaches, the idea of the Raiders swinging a trade for Dak Prescott becomes increasingly intriguing. If Dallas sees Lance as their future, a deal with the Raiders could be a win-win, giving the Cowboys flexibility and the Raiders a franchise quarterback. The next few weeks could be critical in determining whether this speculative trade becomes a reality.

With the pressure on after a shaky performance last week, Trey Lance stepped up in a big way against the Raiders, showcasing the skills that once made him a top draft pick. Lance looked more decisive and focused, threading passes into tight windows, throwing with anticipation, and reading the defense with improved precision.

Lance led three scoring drives, including an impressive 35-yard march covered in just 28 seconds to close the half, capped off by a 66-yard field goal from Aubrey. He also connected with Ryan Flournoy for a touchdown pass and added 34 rushing yards and another touchdown on the ground, proving his dual-threat capabilities.

Lance’s strong showing has reignited discussions about his role on the Cowboys’ roster, especially with only one week remaining in the preseason. If he can replicate or improve upon this performance, it could spark serious debate about his future in Dallas.

The Raiders, in particular, may be watching closely. After last night’s preseason matchup, some have speculated that the Raiders should consider making a move for Lance before the trade deadline, potentially offering a first or second-round pick. With Lance set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season and Dak Prescott likely to be re-signed, the Cowboys might be tempted to capitalize on Lance’s value now.

Alternatively, some suggest that the Raiders could aim even higher by pursuing Dak Prescott himself, given the Cowboys’ reluctance to pay Dak market value and their investment in Lance. With the Cowboys potentially looking to pay less for their quarterback in the future, the idea of trading Dak for draft capital could make sense for both sides.

As the preseason winds down, all eyes will be on Lance to see if he can continue to make a case for his future—whether it’s in Dallas or elsewhere.

In a recent segment on his popular sports talk show, Colin Cowherd stirred up speculation surrounding highly touted quarterback prospect Caleb Williams and his potential draft preferences. Cowherd suggested that Williams and his camp are not enthusiastic about the prospect of being drafted by the Chicago Bears, hinting at a preference for a different destination.

According to Cowherd, Williams and his father have shown a strong interest in Kliff Kingsbury, the former head coach of the Arizona Cardinals and one of Williams’ coaches at USC. Cowherd pointed out that Williams’s father declined to comment on whether Caleb would be open to playing for the Bears, further fueling speculation about the quarterback’s preferences.

Something for Raider fans to keep an eye on.

With Williams reportedly favoring a connection with Kingsbury, Cowherd raised the possibility of the Las Vegas Raiders making a move to secure the talented quarterback. Cowherd suggested that Raider Nation is eager to see a reunion between Williams and Kingsbury.

Cowherd’s remarks have sparked intrigue among football fans, particularly those with a vested interest in the draft and the future of Caleb Williams. As the draft approaches, all eyes will be on Williams and his camp as they navigate the pre-draft process and weigh their options for the quarterback’s NFL future.

With the draft landscape evolving rapidly, the dynamics surrounding Williams’s potential landing spot remain fluid. Raider fans, in particular, will be closely monitoring developments as they hope to see their team make a bold move to secure the services of the highly coveted quarterback.

Stay tuned for further updates as the draft drama continues to unfold, and the football world awaits Caleb Williams’s ultimate decision on his NFL destination.

Henry Ruggs III will be lucky if he ever plays football again, nonetheless see the light of day. The Raiders second year receiver has been RELEASED from his contract after ALLEGEDLY rear-ending someone and causing a terrible accident that resulted in a fatal loss of life (RIP to the person.)

Not only that, police are ALLEGING that Ruggs III was under the influence when the whole thing happened.

Just horrible for all involved.

Please keep the victims in your prayers.

Here are the details:

Ruggs was behind the wheel, driving his Chevrolet Corvette, when he crashed into a Toyota Rav4 around 3:39 AM. The Toyota caught on fire … and first responders located a deceased person in the SUV.

Ruggs was transported to a local hospital for treatment on non-life-threatening injuries.

Cops tell us the NFL star showed “signs of impairment” at the scene … and they will be charging him with DUI resulting in death.

Jon Gruden is in hot water right now. The now former coach of the Las Vegas Raiders is in trouble for leaked emails that portrayed himself in a very negative light. Think of all of the words I cannot post here, and Gruden probably used them to refer to someone in his emails.

With that said, EA Sports is now the next entity to punish Gruden. EA has announced they will be removing Gruden from Madden 22 in the next update.

What do you think? Is this too far? Let us know!

Jon Gruden has resigned from coaching the Las Vegas Raiders. Gruden, who has led Vegas to a 3-2 record so far is resigning after emails surfaced in which he said a lot of things he should have not said. Listen, the NFL doesn’t care if you don’t like a certain race, identity, gender, etc. The NFL only cares when you mess the money up.

By letting those emails surface Gruden messed the money up so he had to go. I can imagine there are a lot of coaches and general managers scrubbing their email servers as I type this.

Here are the details:

Gruden’s messages were sent to Bruce Allen, the former president of the Washington Football Team, and others, while he was working for ESPN as a color analyst during “Monday Night Football,” the sports network’s weekly prime-time telecast of N.F.L. games. In the emails, Gruden called the league’s commissioner, Roger Goodell, a “f—–” and a “clueless anti football p—-” and said that Goodell should not have pressured Jeff Fisher, then the coach of the Rams, to draft “q—-s,” a reference to Michael Sam, a gay player chosen by the team in 2014.

In numerous emails during a seven-year period ending in early 2018, Gruden criticized Goodell and the league for trying to reduce concussions and said that Eric Reid, a player who had demonstrated during the playing of the national anthem, should be fired. In several instances, Gruden used a homophobic slur to refer to Goodell and offensive language to describe some N.F.L. owners, coaches and journalists who cover the league.

The Raiders now have Vontaze Burfict and Antonio Brown AKA Mr. Big Chest AKA AB AKA Tony Toe Tap all on the same team. According to ESPN the middle linebacker has signed on to play for Jon Gruden in 2019:

The Oakland Raiders have signed Vontaze Burfict to a one-year contract, a day after the veteran linebacker was released by the Cincinnati Bengals.

The deal is worth up to $5 million, according to NFL Network.

What could go wrong?

All joking aside, now that the Raiders’ trade of Khalil Mack has been graded as the best NFL trades of 2018 we’ll see if the guys in that management office actually know what they are doing or if they are just trying to cut costs until they can move in the new stadium in Las Vegas.

Antonio Brown aka AB aka Mr. Big Chest aka Tony Toe Tap has arrived to the silver and black via a trade from the Steelers. Raiders new GM Mike Mayock got him for the cheap price of a third round and fifth round pick, and AB seems happy for the time being.

So what does that mean for the NFL?

Well, right now not much. The Raiders cleared out a bunch of young talent that was going to be owed big contracts last season only to trade for a 30 year old receiver who wants the biggest WR contract ever. Maybe Mayock knows something we don’t, but it looks like Tony Toe Tap is going to have to either accept less money or a shorter contract than he’d like.

The Raiders won’t have to use a top pick on offense because of this but they still have holes all over. Depending on who you believe they are ready to jump from 4 to 1 to select Kyler Murray. I doubt it.

If anything the acquisition of AB means that the Raiders will rebuild around Derek Carr on the fly and try to replenish the defense with pass rushers ASAP.
