The internet is still ablaze with their opinions over the Meek Mill/Drake beef. For those that don’t remember the beef all started when Meek exposed Drake in 140 characters or less for submitting a ghostwritten verse to him for the song ‘R.I.C.O.’ Drake clapped back with a coordinated effort of memes, tweets from big corporations, and not one but two diss tracks to Meek before Meek bothered to respond.

Since then the internet (I.E. Drake Stans) has decided Meek has taken a “L” because Whataburger tweeted Meek. This is all despite not one, not two, (*Lebron voice now*) not three, but FOUR Quentin Miller written Drake reference tracks have dropped.

I guess hip hop isn’t about facts or authenticity anymore and some of us just have to accept that. Which is why 50 cent is “beating” Meek in a beef in which again 50 has done nothing to disprove Meek’s disses except upload memes.

Is that what we’re doing in the streets now? Winning beefs with memes?

I think Waka Flocka put it best in this video:

The Eagles are no longer under Chip Kelly’s personnel control but that may not necessarily be a bad thing. Apparently when Kelly brought in Sam Bradford from St. Louis the thought was they’d eventually agree on an extension to keep the quarterback in Philly.

That assumption was wrong. Very wrong. Sam Bradford wants to make more money than EVERY other QB in the league:

When the Eagles traded for quarterback Sam Bradford last offseason, they did so without extending him, a move many felt was risky.

Well, now we might know why.

According to ESPN’s Jim Trotter, Bradford’s agent Tom Condon asked the Eagles for $25 million a year last offseason when the two sides were discussing a contract extension.

It wasn’t reported how many years Bradford’s agent was seeking.

Trotter mentions that then-head coach Chip Kelly, who also controlled the personnel department, wasn’t willing to pay Bradford that amount, which is why the two sides never struck a deal.

And given the pay structure of NFL quarterbacks, it’s understandable. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers draws the highest average annual salary at $22 million, with the likes of Seahawks’ Russell Wilson, Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger and Giants’ Eli Manning — who have all earned Super Bowl titles, by the way — falling in behind that.

(Patriots’ Tom Brady isn’t among the top-paid quarterbacks only because of his generosity.)

Bradford’s first season was average at best, as he finished with 19 touchdowns in 14 games to go with 3,725 yards and 14 interceptions. The Eagles finished 7-9 and missed the playoffs, which led the firing of Kelly.

Bradford’s new head coach, Doug Pederson, sounded open to the idea of bringing the quarterback back.

“I think Sam is a top-notch quarterback,” Pederson said. “He would fit perfectly in the system we’re going to bring here.”

$25 mil a year can get you a lot of talent and the Eagles sure could use it thanks to Kelly purging the roster. With their draft pick the Eagles could easily grab or even trade up a little bit to secure Jared Goff or Paxton Lynch. Financially paying Bradford this money just doesn’t make sense, but if he can get that money then all power to him.

A great man once said, “In life you never get what you deserve, you get what you can negotiate.”

The Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins could all be in the market for a veteran passer and Kolb fits the bill. He is widely regarded as the #1 veteran passer available over Kyle Orton, Donovan McNabb, Vince Young, and Matt Hasselbeck.

It is looking more and more that Kolb will end up in Arizona, and possibly in exchange for CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

But a small detail may be holding up the deal.

Jeff McLane of Philly.com writes that “The Eagles want a starter in return – which Rodgers-Cromartie is – and more, possibly a 2012 second- or third-round draft pick.”

Considering that the Cardinals just drafted Patrick Peterson in the NFL Draft, it is likely they are prepared to lose a starter there. It is a matter of time before we see if Arizona is prepared to give not only their starting CB, but a draft pick as well.

News coming out of Philadelphia is that the Eagles have finally come to a resolution regarding their QB situation. Michael Vick will be kept as the franchise player, and current backup Kevin Kolb will be available on the trade market. The Eagles have up to this point not shown an active interest in trading Kobb, but with Vick having the season of his career all things look to be moving in the favor of Mr. Vick.

For Kolb, he instantly becomes one of the better options in one of the softest QB markets in a few off-seasons. Kolb, Donovan McNabb, Vince Young, and possibly Kyle Orton (please just keep him Fox) will all be available for trade or be released from their current teams. Out of the teams in the marke I think we can expect to see Kolb end up one of the following places:

Buffalo– no Fitzpatrick, we don’t really believe in you.

Carolina– puts Jimmy Clausen back on the bench, and gets a more “proven” option in there for Rivera.

Miami– see: Buffalo.

Oakland– even though they went 8-8, their QB spot was a mystery for most of the year. Jason Campbell is super inconsistent.

Washington, D.C.– they wouldn’t trade in the division two straight years in a row…. naaaaah…….
