In an eagerly awaited move, the New York Jets have introduced a set of brand-new uniforms, ushering in a fresh era for the team’s look and identity. Leaked images on Twitter gave fans a sneak peek into the revamped uniform combinations, sparking a range of opinions among the fan base.

The most striking update to the Jets’ attire is the adoption of a Kelly Green helmet, adorned with white numbers. This bold choice aims to pay homage to the franchise’s rich history while infusing a modern twist into the design. It’s a departure from the previous look and has certainly caught the attention of fans and football enthusiasts alike.

In addition to the Kelly Green helmet, the Jets have introduced an all-black alternate uniform that adds an element of fierceness to their on-field presence. This sleek and contemporary design choice aligns with the evolving aesthetic preferences in sports uniforms.

However, as with any significant change, reactions have been mixed. Some fans have embraced the new look, appreciating the Jets’ efforts to revamp their image and stay in tune with current trends in sports fashion. Others, though, remain attached to the traditional white helmets and gray face masks that have long been associated with the team.

The preference for the classic white helmets with gray face masks reflects the sentimental value that fans often attach to sports uniforms. These iconic elements have become synonymous with the Jets’ identity over the years, making it difficult for some to fully embrace the new design.

Predicting the longevity of these new uniforms is a topic of speculation. As one fan suggests, there is a possibility that the team might revisit its decision in the future. In the ever-evolving world of sports branding, uniform changes are not uncommon, and the team’s management may choose to pivot back to a more familiar look if fan sentiment strongly leans in that direction.

Ultimately, the introduction of new uniforms is not just about aesthetics but also about energizing the fan base, generating excitement, and creating a sense of unity among players and supporters. The New York Jets have taken a bold step forward with their uniform redesign, and only time will tell how these changes will impact the team’s identity and performance on the field.

Whether fans prefer the timeless white helmets or embrace the modern Kelly Green design, one thing is certain: the New York Jets have embarked on a new era, and the uniforms serve as a symbol of their commitment to progress and evolution in the world of football fashion.

The Jets dug deep into free agency and brought the 40 year old Josh McCown to the squad this summer. If anything says championship it is a 40 year old QB in the AFC East!

Wait, you mean to tell me everyone isn’t Tom Brady? Oh well. At least the Jets tried something that looked successful on paper.

*Looks at paper*

You mean to tell me Josh McCown has a career losing record? And he didn’t throw a pass for the last team that had a winning record with him on the squad?

Well… I did say at least the Jets tried something.

Here are three players jbassetta22 says that New York should target in the 2017 draft:

1. Jets: Malik Hooker S Ohio State

A player that can simply make plays. Something the Jets have been lacking the past few years in the secondary, Hooker looks like a future Pro Bowler that can force turnovers and bring speed to a lazy defense.

2. Jets: Leonard Fournette RB LSU

I don’t believe the Jets should draft a QB in the first round. If they don’t, this would be the flashiest pick they can make. They still have Forte and Bilal Powell in the backfield, but they both could be gone after this year, and the Jets need to build for the future. A generational talent is never a bad pick.

3. Jets: Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio State

The biggest need (There are many) for this team lies at cornerback. With the addition of Morris Claiborne on a 1 year prove-it deal, the Jets still need an answer for a future #1 CB. Lattimore compares favorably to Claiborne, as top draft picks that have size, speed, and experience on a defensive powerhouse. The only negative: He has the same injury concerns as Claiborne.

According to Nielsen and E-Poll’s N-Score ranking, which measures factors including name and image awareness, appeal, attributes such as sincerity, approachability, experience and influence, Tebow has a score of 180 while Sanchez has a score of only 12.

Since the day Tim Tebow was drafted, I will admit I looked forward to this day. The deal has finally gone down and Tebow is no longer a Denver Bronco. The Broncos unloaded Tim to the Jets for a 4th round pick.

The only issue with the situation is this. Tim Tebow simply is not good enough to be worth the hassle of keeping him on your roster. While he is a good athlete, he is no quarterback. Rational fans understand this.

I really feel bad for Mark Sanchez because the first time he throws 2 picks in one game the chants will start and the circus will load up. Sanchez ultimately will be benched for Tebow, we all know this. His fanbase are some of the loudest and most demanding in sports. They will see too it that Tim plays.

Will Tim get better? Probably not. He’s been struggling as a passer for over half a decade now. You have to remember he played 4 years at Florida and is still so far behind other QBs in his class. So when Tebow finally does play, it won’t be pretty metaphoricaly and realistically.

This is probably Tim’s last stop in the NFL. That’s really sad to think about for a third year pro, but where could he go next? New York is not going to give him three more years to run around and “figure it out” and eventually Tim WILL brushback on the whole “wildcat” angle.

He will want to play QB somewhere, but after his stint with the Jets is there a place for him in this league? Thats an interesting question to ponder going forward. It’s going to be REAL interesting to see how the NY fans react to those 6/20 60 yard games.

After going to back to back AFC title games, this was supposed to be THE YEAR for the Jets. They were supposed to break through that glass ceiling, win the AFC, and win the Super Bowl. All with head coach Rex Ryan yelling “I told you so!” to any nonbelievers.

We all know that is no what happened. The Jets lost a key free agent in Braylon Edwards and replaced him with Plaxico Burress. A lateral move at best. The ground and pound game disappeared, and Mark Sanchez was asked to win too many games with his arm.

I wrote here before the season even started:

Here is a secret: The New York Jets quietly got a lot worse this offseason. You cannot replace a stud like Braylon Edwards with a slower, older, receiver fresh out the joint. You cannot rely on rookies on your defensive line. You cannot rely on Mark Sanchez and a bunch of receivers he pretty much JUST met.

And pretty much all of that has come back to hurt the Jets this year. They can still make the playoffs, but like 4 different teams have to lose. It looks like Rex will be hitting the couch early this year. “Cant Wait?”

I don’t want to sound like I’m piling on the Jets. They have just been very disappointing for the level they played at two years ago. Maybe a good draft is what the doctor ordered…

YoungRob put together a Jets mock draft with his picks.

We are almost there! After today only two more teams left in the 32 in 32 series, the Super Bowl participants Packers and Steelers. But today let’s talk about the J-E-T-S. Jets!

The Jets were a team that made it to the AFC Championship in 2009 and 2011, making them quietly the most consistent elite team in the game today. If this were the Patriots, Colts, or Steelers going to back to back AFC Championships, ESPN would be blowing them up right now as the preseason favorite to break through and win it all in 2011. But since this is the Jets, Mark Sanchez, Rex Ryan, and LT, not exactly your media darlings, ESPN and others act as if the Jets aren’t literally knocking on Mr. Lombardi’s door screaming “Let me in, Let me in now!” like Nelly on ‘Country Grammar.’

The pick here will clearly be a defensive lineman. Last year the Men in Green relied heavily on Trevor Pryce, Jason Taylor, and Kris Jenkins who all will be on the wrong side of 30 this coming season. Vernon Gholston will probably be asked to take his talents elsewhere, leaving the cupboard not quite bare but almost in the medowlands.

So who will the Jets look too replace their aging defenders with? Here are the candidates:

1. Cameron Heyward, DT/DE The Ohio State University

Cameron Heyward is a player that for some odd reason has slid off many teams draft boards while a player with nerve damage (Adrian Clayborn) has leaped ahead of him. If Cam falls, then Ironhead’s son will probably be wearing the green and white while replacing fellow Buckeye Vernon Gholston.

2. Brooks Reed DE Arizona

Brooks Reed is gaining momentum as a late first rounder. The Packers may be interested in his services, but with the Jets having such a tremendous need at the position he may be gone before the Pack even selects…

3. Phil Taylor NT Baylor

With big Kris Jenkins possibly retiring due to injury, another big man is needed. Rex isn’t going to get out there in the three point stance. However, don’t put it past the Jets to draft another first round CB or even a WR here with all of the free agency uncertainty at those positions on their current roster.

Thank you for reading. Now lets go get a got damn snack!
