Chargers owner Dean Spanos finally has come to the decision to part ways with Chargers head coach Norv Turner. If you know anything about Norv Turner, you know his name has become a synonym for not living up to expectations in NFL circles. The surprise here is that GM AJ Smith is going to be served as well:

According to Kevin Acee of U-T San Diego, the decision has already been made by Chargers owner Dean Spanos to fire both his general manager and head coach.

Sources told Acee that Spanos decided on Turner’s fate “at least a month ago,” but has only recently “resigned himself to the fact that Smith can’t be kept in the current environment of plummeting performance and fan unrest.”

I think you can look back to one draft pick as the beginning of the end for Turner/Smith….
