The probable #1 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, Nerlens Noel has been everything Kentucky asked for. As the heir apparent to super-swatter Anthony Davis, Noel has picked right up where the brow left off.
Davis finished up with 186 blocks and Noel is on track to best that:
Nerlens Noel is on pace to break Anthony Davis’ single-season blocks record of 186 in a 40-game season.
Through 20 games, Noel has 95 blocks.
“I don’t keep track, but some people tell me what the numbers are through (a number of) games or something,” Noel said. “That’s something I do want to break, but that’s not really the focus of the season.”

Where Will Nerlens Noel Be Drafted?
There is no question that he will be a top three pick. As stated before there are only four ‘elite’ prospects in this draft (Noel, Muhammad, McLemore, Len). Most of the prospects in the 2013 class are loaded with potential like Michael Carter-Williams and Trey Burke, but are going to have to work hard to contribute quality minutes to a pro club right away.
Noel’s blocking ability and athletic ability to finish at the rim makes him a better version of Bismack Biyombo. Many are calling him the next Marcus Camby/Tyson Chandler.
