Just a few days ago, rumors of a Rudy Gay trade were eminent but nothing ever happened. Gay was rumored to be headed to the Phoenix Suns in a package for Jared Dudley. A move that would be widely considered as a salary dump.
Now rumors are that the Grizzles tried to sell off Gay’s contract to the Wolves who balked at the offer. The deal and my thoughts below:
The Minnesota Timberwolves turned down a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies for Rudy Gay, according to a report.
Speculation suggests the Grizzlies offered a deal that would have sent Gay to the Timberwolves in return for Kevin Love and/or Nikola Pekovic.

There is a reason that no one wants to trade for Gay: his contract is too high! That PLUS the fact that the Grizzlies had their best ever season with the guy on the sideline in the three piece suit.
I would say my Bobcats should trade for him, but there is no way that deal could get done without trading Kemba Walker or MKG, which just aint happening…
