Making a Push for the 2013 NBA Playoffs? Bobby Brown is Here to Help

bobby brownI know what you’re thinking, but not that Bobby Brown. Though it would be hilarious if Mr. Perrogative actually had hoop skills.

A story came out on Yahoo! Earlier today that Bobby Brown (PG Siena) will have his contract terminated just in time for the NBA’s playoffs. Brown is presumed to make the jump right back into the thick of things as soon as he is eligible. He’s played over 100 NBA career games before moving on to Euroleague, where he is the leading candidate for MVP this season:

After several years bouncing between Europe and the NBA, Brown, 28, has had a breakout professional season with Siena. Nevertheless, the franchise’s financial issues may leave the organization open to a buyout of his contract, sources said. Several NBA teams have inquired about the possibility of signing him as a backup point guard.

Brown leads the Euro League with 21 points per game and averages nearly six assists. He delivered one of the Euro League’s greatest offensive performances recently with 41 points in a victory over Fenerbache. Brown has been chosen the Euro League’s player of the week three times this season.

Top teams that should sign him:

-Los Angeles Lakers (obviously)
-Miami Heat (would they cut into Norris Cole’s minutes though?)
-Orlando Magic (surprisingly competitive post Dwight, but need a spark)
-Char….. just kidding, they aren’t making any playoffs.

What the heck, why not:
