Fish Back: Derrick Fisher Signs With Mavericks

There goes all that talk of trading Steve Blake to bring back D. Fish.

The Mavericks have announced that they are waiving Troy Murphy to sign Derrick Fisher. I really don’t know how this move makes them any more competitive than they were. D. Fish is a backup at best these days and the core talent of Dallas isn’t “one vet away” from winning like they were two years ago.

Oh well, maybe they just did the move to spite the Lakers.

The Dallas Mavericks have waived Troy Murphy to sign Derek Fisher.

Murphy was signed shortly before the start of the season.

Murphy averaged 4.6 points and 3.5 rebounds in 18.3 minutes over 14 games.
