At one time, Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler were the faces of the “youth movement” in Chicago as rookies. That was a decade and about 100 pounds ago for Eddy Curry. Curry, a player who has always been miffed with weight and injury concerns has not played up to the expectations set for him coming into the league.
That has led him to Miami, where after a stay with the Knicks Curry has shed over 100 pounds and is looking to make a comeback. Last night was the first step in the road back on the hardwood. Curry came in and got 2 minutes early before getting a few more minutes late into the 4th quarter. He scored on a layup and set of foul shots.
I have to say that he looks like a different guy minus the lbs and the braids. Hopefully he stays in shape this go around. You’d have to imagine this could be his last shot in the NBA.
