This is a statement put out earlier today by Derek Fisher. “The current deal is not one we can accept. We are willing to renegotiate.”
David Stern has allegely started to play hard ball with the players. It is pretty much sign the 50-50 today, or start from scratch starting with 47-53 (owner’s favor) on the table. Note that in the video Fisher says “in no way will we negotiate from a position of weakness.”
News flash Derek, the players are at a position of weakness! These owners can always sell their teams, cash out, and go live on an island somewhere. Some of these players absolutely need a season. Get the deal done.
