Nor Stephen A, Skip Bayless, or Hugh Douglas bought the comment. The funniest thing was that even Skip admitted that Elway said nothing about Tebow being a quarterback and not moved to another position!

But what do I think about it?

From the outside looking in, I think that Stephen A. was more so on the right path. He said the Broncos are going to draft a QB. While I no longer think they will move way up in the 2012 NFL Draft for a Robert Griffin III or Matt Barkley, there is always the outside possibility that Nick Foles, Kellen Moore, or Ryan Tannehill falls into EFX’s (Elway Fox and Xanders) waiting arms. Before drafting a passer, the Broncos definitely need to make a move for a young running back and a few defensive backs first.

If none of the mid range QB’s fall low enough then you will see the Broncos bring in a veteran to compete with Tebow. That could be anyone from Vince Young (ESPN would explode) to Matt Flynn or Jason Campbell.

My best guess for the 2012 Broncos Quarterback chart would be:

QB1- Tim Tebow
QB2- Brady Quinn/Jason Campbell
QB3- Ryan Tannehill

All in all Tebow will probably start the season, fail to produce the same miraculous wins he has in 2011 and probably end the year being benched. The Tim Tebow saga is going to leave Bronco Nation in a nasty divided state whenever Tebow is finally cast away. At least it will be fun to watch.

Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway continues to be lukewarm about Tim Tebow’s future as the starting quarterback of the Broncos.

Gary Miller asked Elway the following question on his weekly radio show on 102.3 FM, via the Denver Post.

“Any closer to feeling if you have your quarterback on this team?”

Elway flatly answered “no.”

Quite frankly, Tebow is an awful passer.  There is no way around it.  I don’t want to hear the excuses.  No hate. No agenda. Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t…

The guy barely completes 45% of his passes, primarily throwing screens.

That just is not going to get it done.  Especially when the option is finally stopped. Can Tebow run? Yes. But that is what running backs do, not Quarterbacks.  Thank goodness John Elway can see through the hype and will get the Broncos a quarterback of the future this offseason.

In the video that can be seen above this post, Peter King reports that new Broncos Football Czar, John Elway “Doesn’t think Tim Tebow is a very good quarterback right now.” This was broadcast live on NBC’s pregame show before the Saints-Seahawks playoff game. A lot of Broncos fans have lost their minds over what this could or would mean for their beloved quarterback.

Peter King speculated that Josh McDaniels could look to reacquire Tebow at a later date with his new team, where ever that happens to be.

For one, no player can be traded until the CBA is renegotiated.  So the Broncos have time to figure out who is going to be available who who isn’t.  Also the Broncos don’t even have a coaching staff.  So who knows if Tebow will be traded, cut, retained, benched, or asked to play another position.

Elway tweeted the following in an effort to cool rumors that he was actively looking to shop Tim Tebow:

To clarify my thoughts on Tim Tebow… I think he’s a very good football player, and if anyone can turn themselves into a great QB, Tim can.

Myself and our entire organization think very highly of him. We are pleased with his first year as a Bronco.

Any speculation that the Denver Broncos are considering moving Tim is completely false.
