Gone is the B logo on the chest which is now replaced with a clean word mark. The stripes are thinned out and the secondary color is gone from the neckline. The numbers are no longer embossed and the random white stripe is gone from the side of the uniforms.

These are very clean and I give them a 9/10. What would have given them a 10? White helmets of course.

Now, Anderson and fellow bust Derrick Harvey have been picked up by the Bengals. Here are the details:

The Bengals announced the signing of Derrick Harvey on Friday and they closed out the day by adding another former eighth overall pick in the draft.

Like Harvey, Jamaal Anderson is a defensive end and, like Harvey again, he hasn’t lived up to his lofty draft status.

For what it is worth, Marvin Lewis seems to have some kind of magic that gets those type of guys to “turn it on.”

Former Starting Quarterback Carson Palmer was sent out of town for a pair of first round draft picks to the Oakland Raiders. For those counting, the Bengals will have two first round draft picks in two straight drafts back to back starting in the 2012 NFL Draft. If they keep drafting guys like AJ Green and Andy Dalton those picks will go a long way towards regaining control of the AFC North.

In the 2011 draft, the Bengals called Carson Palmer’s retirement bluff and quickly replaced him with Andy Dalton out of TCU. Chad Ochocinco was let go, along with Terrell Owens and AJ Green was drafted to replace them from day 1.

As I write this the Bengals are a strong 4-2 with their rookie QB and they just traded Carson Palmer to the Raiders for what could end up being TWO first round draft picks over the next two years.

The Bengals failed to make the playoffs last season after adding Hall of Fame WR Terrell Owens, and sweeping the AFC North just a season prior.  QB Carson Palmer had another off year, and RB Cedric Benson didn’t play up to his NFL Comeback Player of the Year performance.  This upcoming season the Bengals will be saying goodbye to WRs Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens, saying “Welcome back!” to coach Marvin Lewis and possibly parting ways with Carson Palmer.   That is a lot for an offense to lose in one year.

So who are the top 3 draft choices for the Bengals?

1. Blaine Gabbert QB Missouri

Blaine is getting a lot of hype, mostly in part because Andrew Luck is no longer in this draft.  Playing in a spread offense at Missouri Blaine showed the ability to make quick throws and displayed an accuracy that has NFL Coaches excited.  Some draft experts think he is a product of the system and Luck’s absence.  However, if Carson Palmer makes good on his threat to retire if he is not traded the Bengals need a QB and Blaine will be the best one on the board.

2. AJ Green WR Georgia

Do I need to explain? No TOcho means that the Bengals will need a young playmaker to go with Jerome Simpson, Jordan Shipley, and Jermaine Gresham.  AJ Green actually reminds me of the young Pro-Bowl player that was Chad Johnson, and he would fill right in from day one.  It all depends on if Carson stays with the team if they can afford to draft a WR here.

3. Marcel Dareus DT Alabama

This is the lowest I believe Dareus would be drafted in any scenario.  A versatile young lineman is something the Bengals need if they are going to take down Big Ben and Joe Flacco, and take the AFC North crown back to Ohio.
