Gone is the B logo on the chest which is now replaced with a clean word mark. The stripes are thinned out and the secondary color is gone from the neckline. The numbers are no longer embossed and the random white stripe is gone from the side of the uniforms.

These are very clean and I give them a 9/10. What would have given them a 10? White helmets of course.

Here are the details on Joe Burrow possibly not wanting to play for the Bengals:

“I do have leverage,” Burrow told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “They have their process and I have my process. We haven’t even gotten to the (NFL Scouting) Combine yet. There’s a lot of things that happen leading up to the draft and a lot of information gathered.

“Right now, I’m focused on being the best football player I can be. I’m in this unique spot. You can go watch my film. I don’t have to prove myself at pro day and at the combine, so I’m in a unique spot where I can focus on getting ready for the year.”

Those words are heavy and should be listened to carefully. Palmer had a nasty split with the franchise after he had to threaten to retire several times before he was finally traded to Oakland in 2011.

No word on how current Bengals QB Andy Dalton feels. The Bengals may be planning to trade him this summer.

Hold the applause. No Burfict has not been thrown out of the league, but the league has docked him not one, not two, but three game checks for the 2016 season.

Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict will be suspended for the first three games of the 2016 season as a result of repeated violations of player safety rules.

Remember this is the same guy that came into the league with these type of safety concerns. I suspect that the Bengals will make some roster moves around this, who knows maybe he’s not even a Bengals player next year.

According to reports, Johnson will be franchised by the Bengals under a one-year $11 million dollar contract. That’s a lot of money!

The Bengals have one of the best defensive lines in the game and it still isn’t out of the question that Johnson’s replacement could be drafted this fall. We’ll see if there is a long term contract coming.

This is a reminder to anyone going after a goal you cannot get sidetracked with behavior like this no matter how bad your situation gets.

Linebacker Brandon Joiner has been sentenced to three years in prison for two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of felony drug possession. The charges stem from an incident in 2007 when Joiner was playing at Texas A&M.

Joiner and another man forced their way into an apartment and assaulted two men before binding them with duct tape. They stole their wallets, keys, cellphones and marijuana. When police searched Joiner’s home they also found hydrocodone and Ectasy.

Joiner finished out his collegiate career at Arkansas State after the arrest forced him off the Texas A&M team. Joiner’s lawyer said that they hope he will be released on parole after six to nine months if Joiner behaves himself behind bars.

“Not being picked, going undrafted I have a big chip on my shoulder and I’m ready to hit somebody,” Burfict told Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

If you do not remember Burfict signed a deal with the Bengals as a rookie free agent and will be playing middle linebacker.  Let’s see if he makes the roster and makes good on that threat to hit someone…

Now, Anderson and fellow bust Derrick Harvey have been picked up by the Bengals. Here are the details:

The Bengals announced the signing of Derrick Harvey on Friday and they closed out the day by adding another former eighth overall pick in the draft.

Like Harvey, Jamaal Anderson is a defensive end and, like Harvey again, he hasn’t lived up to his lofty draft status.

For what it is worth, Marvin Lewis seems to have some kind of magic that gets those type of guys to “turn it on.”

Former Starting Quarterback Carson Palmer was sent out of town for a pair of first round draft picks to the Oakland Raiders. For those counting, the Bengals will have two first round draft picks in two straight drafts back to back starting in the 2012 NFL Draft. If they keep drafting guys like AJ Green and Andy Dalton those picks will go a long way towards regaining control of the AFC North.
