Ever since aligning with Kanye West the three stripe brand has experienced a much needed boost in visibility and branding.

Not to be outdone by the Yeezy brand, Adidas’ parent brand is making their stamp felt once again in athletics. The company has announced that they will award $1,000,000 to whatever athlete can break Chris Johnson’s 4.24 40 yard dash time.

If this doesn’t inspire people to work hard nothing will. No word on if that money is tied to an endorsement deal or not.

BREAKING: Nike and NBA to announce new 8-year deal to become official uniform of NBA. Will start in 2017-18. Adidas is out.

Unlike Reebok & adidas, Nike logo will appear on NBA uniforms when new uniform deal starts in 2017-18.

Judging by reaction of relief by NBA fans about Nike replacing adidas, adidas has a long, long way to go to establish credibility in the US

8-year deal between Nike & NBA that makes Nike official uniform supplier is worth approximately $1 billion.

Nike will pay NBA about $125M a year for official uniform supplier deal, which is a 245% increase from what adidas paid for previous deal.

Hopefully this marks the end of those horrid Christmas jerseys and sleeved jerseys. It will be every interesting to see what NIKE cooks up for the NBA.
