RIP Dwayne Haskins: Adam Schefter’s Tribute to Simba [AUDIO]

ESPN’s Adam Schefter has apologized for his tasteless tweet regarding the tragic passing of Dwayne Haskins. I’m glad Schefter took time to collect his thoughts and express them long form on audio.

What’s really lost in this is that Dwayne Haskins was competing for the Steelers starting quarterback job and very well could have won it by the end of 17 weeks. I am not sure if the NFL has ever seen a starting caliber QB prospect lose his life so quickly and tragically.

All of this really doesn’t seem real. I feel like just yesterday we were talking about Dwayne having a birthday party in a pandemic, and now like that he’s gone forever.

I really feel for his family and hope we all do what we can do to keep his name alive. Like I said before, the swagger and confidence of this young man was one of a kind.

Much respect to Schefter and RIP Dwayne Haskins.
