Here’s Why The Patriots Released Cam Newton

Life is about choices. Last season Cam Newton chose to continue to go to gatherings and not protect himself, got sick, and derailed the Pariots season at the quarterback position.
This offseason the Patriots drafted Mac Jones #15 overall and by all reports Cam was a great supporter and mentor to the rookie. However, the team has chosen to move on from the former MVP ahead of the 2021 season.
Why did the Patriots release Cam Newton?
Simply put, Cam made his choices. He didn’t chose to protect himself against the worldwide health situation and Mac Jones allegedly has. If it’s close, and you already caused the team games last year, then yes the Patriots are 1000% correct in going with Mac.
