2020 was a season that we will never forget. For better or worse al of our lives were impacted in a way that will take years to recover from. Thankfully with the help of science & medicine there is a light at the end of the tunnel. This year we should see a full NFL slate with less opt outs, more fans, and more consistent football.

But who will your team draft? Let’s get on to the mock draft:

1. Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence QB, Clemson: Hey guys, find you a woman that looks at you the way Urban Meyer looks at Trevor Lawrence. All jokes aside, this is a prototypical QB that has every tool and the arm to push it down field. Meyer is somewhere drawing up some special plays for his new QB.

2. New York Jets
Zach Wilson QB, BYU: Jets can grab the best player on their board and hold on to see what happens. Wilson is a true feast or famine type of QB, NY better hope it is a feast.

3. San Francisco 49ers
Mac Jones QB, Alabama: If you give up three first rounders to move up, you are selecting a quarterback. Mac is ready to play now and favorably compares to Kirk Cousins. He is a guy that will fill up the stat sheet with good players around him but never be the reason you actually win. At the very least he’ll have the one ability Garappolo doesn’t have and that’s availability.

4. Atlanta Falcons
Kyle Pitts TE, Florida: One of the highest TE prospects of all time gets added to an offense that needs a shot in the arm. Probably a bad choice of words for 2021 but hey, here we are.

5. Cincinnati Bengals
Ja’Marr Chase WR, LSU: Yes a tackle or guard could go here but instead the Bengals try it again with Joe Burrow’s hand picked guy. They’ll grab a guard in round 2 or 3.

6. Miami Dolphins
Jaylen Waddle WR, Alabama: Is Tua a starting QB? We’ll find out because he Dolphins are going to throw as much talent as possible around him.

7. Detroit Lions
Penei Sewell OT, Oregon: Jared Goff needs a clean pocket to be successful. This is the least the Fords can do to make sure the next new chapter of Lions football is successful.

8. Carolina Panthers
Caleb Farley CB, Virginia Tech: The Panthers got their QB in free agency and fall back to drafting defense.

9. Denver Broncos
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah LB, Notre Dame: Fangio is not leaving the draft without J-O-K. This guy plays exactly like Roquan Smith who Fangio had with him in Chicago and played very well.

10. Dallas Cowboys
Rashawn Slater OT, Northwestern: If you’re going to pay Dak you have to make sure he stays clean in the pocket. The Cowboys OL isn’t as elite anymore due to nagging injuries and they may have to inject some new blood.

11. New York Giants
Patrick Surtain II CB, Alabama: The Giants dropped the bag in free agency on offensive players to it makes sense to step up and add a top corner here.

12. Philadelphia Eagles
Alijah Vera-Tucker IOL, USC: Is Jalen Hurts a legit QB or a Taysom Hill gadget player? We will find out in 2021.

13. Los Angeles Chargers
Kwity Paye EDGE, Michigan: this could be Phillips but I think the medicals drop him a bit.

14. Minnesota Vikings
Christian Darrisaw OT, Virginia Tech: Slater could end up top 10 when it’s said and done. In this mock that is the case so the Vikings take Darrisaw.

15. New England Patriots
Justin Fields QB, Ohio State: This is not where I think Fields will actually be drafted but I think there is no way Bill Belichick sees Fields’ value depreciates for no reason at all and doesn’t pounce on him like Gamestop stock.

16. Arizona Cardinals
Jaycee Horn CB, South Carolina: Another team that dropped the bag in free agency and has a few spots left on defense to sure up.

17. Las Vegas Raiders
Micah Parsons LB, Penn State: Does Gruden like Trey Lance enough to trade up for him? We’ll see. In this universe The Raiders stand pat and grab Parsons to add a rangy fast run supporting LB.

18. Miami Dolphins
Jaelan Phillips EDGE, Miami: The medicals drop him (he had to quit football once before for concussions) but Jaelan’s slide stops at home. The Dolphins will be one of the most comfortable teams with him because they are going to obviously be able to get the most information on him.

19. Washington Football Team
Trey Lance QB NDSU: Again, this is not where I think he’ll get drafted but this is the correct team. The WFT is not fooling anyone with Fitzmagic. Ryan is not a longterm investment. He’s a teacher to teach someone who you think can be your potential franchise guy. Who in the draft has played the least amount of quarterback at a high level but has all the tools if he gets the right teacher? Yup, Mr. Liv Cowherd himself.

20. Chicago Bears
Rashod Bateman WR, Minnesota: The Bears missed out on a quarterback and aren’t going to reach for Kellen Mond (or are they?) Considering Allen Robinson has wanted a trade for a while I’m mocking WR here.

21. Indianapolis Colts
Greg Newsome II CB, Northwestern: A team that has the talent to get out the AFC but could always use talent in the defensive backfield.

22. Tennessee Titans
Trevon Moehrig S, TCU: Kenny Vaccaro is still in free agency, so the Titans bring in another safety that can cover ground.

23. New York Jets
Jayson Oweh, DE/OLB, Penn State: The Jets have their QB and now look towards finding a pass rusher they believe could be a steal here.

24. Pittsburgh Steelers
Travis Etienne RB, Clemson: For some odd reason James Conner is a free agent. The Steelers never look like they are willing to call in the Brinks truck, so here goes his replacement.

25. Jacksonville Jaguars
Kadarius Toney WR, Florida: The Jags get their offense together with a nice QB/WR duo to start the new era.

26. Cleveland Browns
Azeez Ojulari EDGE, Georgia: Jadeveon Clowney has not signed yet and JJ Watt chose the Cardinals. The Browns bring in an EDGE one way or the other.

27. Baltimore Ravens
Terrace Marshall Jr. WR, LSU: Free agent receivers don’t want to play in this offense, so they have to draft a guy.

28. New Orleans Saints
Gregory Rousseau EDGE, Miami: The Saints grab up extreme value in the EDGE rusher from Miami. If he falls this far that is very good fate for the Saints.

29. Green Bay Packers
Zaven Collins LB, Tulsa: Sorry Aaron they are never drafting you any offensive talent. The Packers will keep drafting everything but wide receivers and tight ends despite the obvious.

30. Buffalo Bills
Rondale Moore WR, Purdue: Josh Allen almost brought this team to the Super Bowl and all they need is a few pieces.

31. Kansas City Chiefs
DeVonta Smith WR, Alabama: The slide stops. If Smith slides because he is 6′ 165 lbs. there is one team in the NFL that will draft him just to harass us poor Broncos fans and that is the Chiefs. There is no way they would contain themselves and there is a roster spot open thanks to Sammy Watkins going to the Ravens. Yes this is a code red doomsday event for the fans of the other AFC West teams but I have this sneaking suspicion that the Chiefs might even trade up to do this.

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Najee Harris RB, Alabama: PLAYOFF LENNY is back but he was a bit overhyped. Long term these free agents won’t be around so grabbing the BPA for the post Brady era is a smart move.

He’s not a mock draft guy but Colin Cowherd is back yet once again with his 2021 NFL mock draft. In this edition Colin mocked the even picks and Peter Schrager mocks the odd numbered selections.

So how did they do?

Check out the picks for yourself below:

1. Jaguars – Trevor Lawrence QB Clemson
2. Jets – Zach Wilson QB BYU
3. 49ers – Mac Jones QB Bama
4. Falcons – Kyle Pitts TE UF
5. Bengals – Ja’Marr Chase WR LSU
6. Dolphins – Jaylen Waddle WR Bama
7. Lions – Penei Sewell OT Oregon
8. Panthers – Rashawn Slater OT Northwestern
9. Broncos – Trey Lance QB NDSU
11. Cowboys – Jaycee Horn CB USC
12. Eagles – DeVonta Smith WR Bama
13. Chargers – Alijah Vera-Tucker OG UCLA
14. Vikings – Jaelan Phillips EGE Miami
15. Patriots – Justin Fields QB Patriots
16. Cardinals – Kwity Paye EDGE Michigan

Now these picks won’t happen and there is a very obvious “Justin Fields to New England” narrative that they are trying to push. This mock comes off the rails at the 9th pick.

Trey Lance is not going to be there at 9th and I do not have high confidence that Denver will be trading up to select him (that means 100% it will happen now.) If I were a betting man I’d say that it is more likely that Denver trades out with New England and moves down to grab Owusu-Koramoah from Notre Dame. Vic Fangio likes smaller linebackers that can cover all over the field and Owusu fills that void. It is too much of a reach to grab him at 9 so Denver flips with New England in a trade that’s built to benefit both teams.

I also don’t see Jaelan Phillips going top 15 simply due to the medicals. Not that he isn’t worthy of the pick. Teams tend to shy away from players with medical history this high in the draft.

Other than that this draft is ok. What do you think? Is the mock draft guy going to drop another before the draft? We’ll see.

Not A Mock Draft Guy Colin Cowherd is back at us again with another 2021 Mock Draft. This is becoming a thing now. I’m pretty sure Colin is aware of the joke and is playing on it which is hilarious.

Here are his latest picks for the 2021 NFL Draft and some commentary below:

1. Jaguars – Trevor Lawrence QB Clemson
Ok Colin, don’t go crazy just yet. Keep it scratch with the #1 pick.

2. Jets – Zach Wilson QB BYU
Now that Darnold is in Charlotte the Jets need a QB for real.

3. 49ers – Justin Fields QB tOSU
Everyone is saying this is Mac Jones. Yes Fields is more “talented” but the 49ers are looking for a system fit.

4. Broncos – Trey Lance QB NDSU Bison
We knew Trey was going in the top 4 of this draft and here he is. As a Broncos fan, I’d rather stay at 9 and draft BPA than give up good picks to take another chance on a young QB. We aren’t winning Super Bowls any time soon anyway.

5. Bengals – RaShawn Slater OT NW
Makes sense for the Bengals DNA but I think with Burrow you have to grab one of these receivers.

6. Dolphins – Kyle Pitts TE Florida
Tua needs help but I don’t think Pitts will be there. It anything people are moving up for Pitts, not Lance.

7. Lions – Ja’Marr Chase WR LSU
If Chase is here at 7, I guess it makes sense. Gotta replace Golladay somehow.

8. Panthers – Penei Sewell OG Oregon
I don’t think Sewell will be there. But if he is, I still see Carolina trading out.

9. Falcons – Pat Surtain II DB BAMA
I still think the Broncos stand Pat at #9 and draft Micah Parsons. The Von Miller drama was too much and he is one of the oldest players on the roster now.

10. Cowboys – Jaycee Horn DB USC
If they cannot get Surtain I believe this could be a trade out scenario as well. That, or Jerry grabs one of those Alabama receivers. Remember who told you first!

Colin “I’m Not a Mock Draft Guy” Cowherd is back with his third mock draft in just a few days. This is becoming a running joke at this point but to his credit Colin found something that works on his show and he’s going to keep using it. So here goes the latest mock draft from the Herd:

1. Jaguars – Trevor Lawrence QB Clemson
Ok Colin, don’t go crazy just yet. Keep it scratch with the #1 pick.

2. Jets – Zach Wilson QB BYU
I can see this pick happening.

3. 49ers – Justin Fields QB tOSU
I just checked my books and Mac Jones is the odds favorite as of today. Not Fields.

4. Falcons – Trey Lance QB NDSU Bison
In this scenario Lance is stashed for two years like Jordan Love. Could happen but Kyle Pitts is right there.

5. Bengals – RaShawn Slater OT NW
Makes sense for the Bengals DNA but I think with Burrow you have to grab one of these receivers.

6. Dolphins – Kyle Pitts TE Florida
Tua needs help but I don’t think Pitts will be there.

7. Lions – Ja’Marr Chase WR LSU
If Chase is here at 7, I guess it makes sense.

8. Panthers – Penei Sewell OG Oregon
I don’t think Sewell will be there. But if he is, I see Carolina trading out.

9. Broncos – Micah Parsons LP Penn State
This is the most obvious pick of the first round. Von Miller’s on his last contract with the franchise.

10. Cowboys – Pat Surtain II DB BAMA
The top corner I guess, but I can’t see Jerry Jones just looking past all those SEC receivers. Never.

The 49ers just moved up in the draft so it is time for a new mock draft! Let’s break down the 2021 NFL draft in a new mock draft that’s sure to be 100% accurate.

Penei Sewell OT, Oregon: No QB? Not yet. With multiple picks the Jets can grab the best player on their board and hold on to see what happens.

3. San Francisco 49ers
Justin Fields QB, Ohio State: If you give up three first rounders to move up, you are selecting a quarterback. Fields has the experience and potential to be a franchise guy, and the 49ers have to grab him before Carolina or Atlanta does.

4. Atlanta Falcons
Kyle Pitts TE, Florida: One of the highest TE prospects of all time gets added to an offense that needs a shot in the arm. Probably a bad choice of words for 2021 but hey, here we are.

5. Cincinnati Bengals
Jaylen Waddle WR, Alabama: Yes a tackle or guard could go here but instead the Bengals try it again with a super speedy WR. Ross didn’t work out maybe Waddle will be that deep threat.

6. Miami Dolphins
Ja’Marr Chase WR, LSU: Is Tua a starting QB? We’ll find out because he Dolphins are going to throw as much talent as possible around him.

7. Detroit Lions
DeVonta Smith WR, Alabama: Jared Goff gets a speedy downfield threat for his new chapter.

8. Carolina Panthers
Caleb Farley CB, Virginia Tech: The Panthers lose out on Fields and fall back to drafting defense. Do they like Trey Lance enough to pull the card?

9. Denver Broncos
Micah Parsons LB, Penn State: Elway doesn’t miss out on a speedy linebacker this year!

10. Dallas Cowboys
Christian Darrisaw OT, Virginia Tech: If you’re going to pay Dak you have to make sure he stays clean in the pocket.

11. New York Giants
Patrick Surtain II CB, Alabama: The Giants dropped the bag in free agency and add a top corner here.

12. Philadelphia Eagles
Zach Wilson QB, BYU: Is Jalen Hurts a legit QB or a Taysom Hill? We will find out.

13. Los Angeles Chargers
Kwity Paye EDGE, Michigan

14. Minnesota Vikings
Rashawn Slater OT, Northwestern: Slater could end up top 10 when it’s said and done.

15. New England Patriots
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah LB, Notre Dame

16. Arizona Cardinals
Alijah Vera-Tucker IOL, USC: Another team that dropped the bag in free agency and has a few spots left.

17. Las Vegas Raiders
Baron Browning LB, Ohio State: Does Gruden like Trey Lance enough? We’ll see.

18. Miami Dolphins
Jaelan Phillips EDGE, Miami

19. Washington Football Team
Jaycee Horn CB, South Carolina: Replacement for Darby who went to Denver in FA.

20. Chicago Bears
Rashod Bateman WR, Minnesota

Trey Lance QB, North Dakota State: And there he goes! The Jets stand pat and take whatever QB falls to them. They aren’t winning the Super Bowl next year and no one is going to trade a lot of value for Darnold so why not just open up a QB competition?

Zaven Collins LB, Tulsa

30. Buffalo Bills
Rondale Moore WR, Purdue

31. Kansas City Chiefs
Teven Jenkins OT, Oklahoma State

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Najee Harris RB, Alabama: PLAYOFF LENNY is back but he was a bit overhyped. Long term these free agents won’t be around so grabbing the BPA for the post Brady era is a smart move.

After today’s 49ers/Dolphins trade everyone is scrambling to update their mocks. That includes Colin Cowherd who published a mock yesterday only to have to update it today.

So let’s break this down again.

The good:

The 49ers take their pick of the top QBs.

The trade basically telegraphs that the 49ers are going to move on a QB. No way you do that deal and then draft Sewell (which would be a great pick if they didn’t trade 3 firsts to get into position.)

The bad:

Again, Trey Lance over Fields? The Trey Lance that played like 300 snaps his whole career? I guess the tangibles are there, but Fields is more tested.

The ugly:

Where is Jaylen Waddle? Everyone agrees he is the better Alabama receiver if not the best in this entire class. Of course Colin leaves him out the top 12.

Colin Cowherd released his new 2021 NFL Mock Draft with his thoughts on the top half of the upcoming draft class. In true Cowherd fashion he makes a wild hot take (Trey Lance at #3 overall to Miami) but there are some nice selections as well.

Let’s get to breaking this thing all the way down.

The good:
Justin Fields to the Falcons would be nice. A fanbase that’s gone through a lot since the Super Bowl loss would not mind grabbing a hometown kid to be QB1 of the future.

The bad:

Kyle Pitts to the Lions? Didn’t this team just TJ Hockenson? Maybe Jared Goff could find some success with the short passing game but investing a premium pick for TE2 when you just let your WR1 go is crazy. The pick should be Ja/Marr Chase or one of the Alabama Receivers.

The ugly:

Trey Lance to the Dolphins? Not only is it the third pick in the draft, Lance is the 4th QB on the board if you really love him like that. Trade down and gain some capital don’t just throw all your cards on another young QB when you still have to evaluate Tua.

CBS.com has unveiled their first NFL mock draft and it is definitely without surprises. First and more most let’s start at the top. The Bengals receive the first pick. I can see that happening. The Jets come in #2 and that’s where the issues start.

Round 1 – Pick 2

Trevor Lawrence QB
N.Y. Jets
POSITION RNK

Coming into the season the consensus was that the Jaguars were tanking for Trevor. Someone forgot to tell them because they beat the Colts on Sunday. The Jets looked terrible and it’s hard to imagine they’d pass on Lawrence if he’s still on the board.

Wait, what? Sam Darnold was the media’s golden boy just two years ago and now they are ready to replace him? I am in tears crying. If this happened there will be a Darnold vs. Lawrence media war of epic proportions. Get your popcorn ready.

Round 1 – Pick 4

Micah Parsons LB
PENN STATE • JR • 6’3″ / 244 LBS
PROJECTED TEAM
Jacksonville
PROSPECT RNK
Freakishly athletic, Parsons has opted out of the 2020 college football season. The Jags were one of the biggest surprises of Week 1 and that young explosive defense would only improve with Parsons flying all over the field.

No,no, no. If the Jags end up with a top five pick two things will be in motion. First, the Jags will be looking to move to another city and two, Gardner Minshew II is going to be meeting his replacement. The pick is Justin Fields.

Round 1 – Pick 6

Ja’Marr Chase WR
LSU • JR • 6’1″ / 200 LBS
PROJECTED TEAM
PROSPECT RNK
POSITION RNK
1st
No. 2 overall pick Chase Young had two strip sacks in his debut along with the rest of Washington’s dominant D. Here they take another Chase to upgrade an offense that lacks much in the way of playmakers beyond Terry McLaurin.

Once again, no. The WFT cut their two best running backs in the same month. The plan here is running back not a receiver.

Round 1 – Pick 12

Justin Fields QB
OHIO STATE • JR • 6’3″ / 228 LBS
It’s hard to take many positives following the Week 1 throttling by the Ravens, but it’s also hard to blame Baker Mayfield for all that ails this team. That said, it also wouldn’t be surprising if the Browns drafted their next franchise QB in Fields, who is coming off a breakout season for the Buckeyes, though we’d love to see him get a chance to play one more college season.

Whoever wrote this must be from Ohio, or a Baker Mayfield hater. There is no way that Fields lasts this long with all the teams that could benefit to draft a new QB.

That’s the top ten. For the full draft make sure you go over to CBS.
