The 2025 NFL Draft was full of surprises, but perhaps none...
Sports media (Colin Cowherd) is going crazy today on a theory that the Patriots may be moving up for Tua Tagovailoa in the 2020 NFL Draft. That’s a nice theory and all, considering that multiple sources are leaking reports that the Patriots are interested in getting a premium pick but there is a problem: they only have one. I simply don’t see a scenario where Tua lasts to 23 (New England’s pick.) To trade up from 23 to 3 without a second round pick is also going to be extremely difficult. I mean, the Lions could absolutely demand Stephon Gilmore in the trade and I doubt it happens but that is probably the only way it happens. Yes I know the Lions staff has ties to New England but if they want to keep their jobs they’ll get a RGIII haul if they trade out of the spot.
