The Real Reason the Panthers Fired Coach Ron Rivera

Ron Rivera and the Carolina Panthers have parted ways after 9 seasons.
This is an odd move to make with four games left in the season and the Panthers playing well despite being limited with backup rookie QB Kyle Allen taking the majority of the snaps this season. Rivera led this team to the Super Bowl just four seasons ago in the 2015-2016 season so this move is very shocking.
Some have speculated that this move was made to make Cam Newton happy going forward. We’ll see.
