Here’s the Only Honest Review of #AEW #DoubleOrNothing You’ll Read

And finally, the ugly:

The ring action. Just way too many botches for my taste. The tag matches looked completely discombobulated and the women’s match wasn’t well run at all. The ref even counted to three and rang the bell when she wasn’t supposed to and they just kept going like nothing happened. WWE would get killed for that.

The Cody and Goldust match just went on and on. The blood was unnecessary, especially in this era.

Speaking of the blading and blood, there were just too many spots where they were blatantly doing things that were banned in WWE. Things such as head shots, blading, pile drivers, and other risky maneuvers. I know smarks will get mad because they can’t take the truth but the truth is that these moves are banned for a reason. People died. People got diseases. People sued the WWE. Think that won’t happen to AEW? You must be kidding yourself.

Final verdict:

All in all I enjoyed the main people on the card including the Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes but there was a lot left desired. The product should be a little bit more cohesive and the talent has to clean up the in-ring work. You just can’t rely on the shock value of doing things that Vince banned. AEW will be here for a while but I really worry about their long term prospects if their game plan was John Moxley, blade jobs, and head shots.

I give the event a 6.5/10.
