16. Titans: Joe Jackson DE Miami (FL)

I don’t really have a great opinion on this selection, since I have yet to scout this guy. The Titans need pass rushers. They have aging players who are getting slower. So from a pure position standpoint, this is a great selection.

17. Panthers: Greedy Williams CB LSU

Williams has NFL height, but lacks the bulk. He’s good in man coverage, and excellent ability to get turnovers. I like the player and I like the fit, but this is a top 10 talent in my mind, so the selection for me, is just not there. I am not a fan of this pick.

18. Chiefs: Michael Jackson CB Miami (FL)

This is another player I have yet to really scout, so I don’t have much information on him. I have Deandre Baker still on the board here, so he has to be good to warrant the selection. This pick does however fill a need for them. The traded away Peters, and other than him there really wasn’t a great CB on their roster.

19. Cowboys: Noah Fant TE Iowa

This is the best TE available, and fills the need for Dallas. I am not a fan of the current TE group, but Fant is athletic and offers some blocking ability. He does need to fix those drops though.

20. 49ers: Kelvin Harmon WR NC State

This is another player I have not looked at. However, Jimmy needs a target to throw to, so from a position standpoint I like the pick. When Goodwin is your best option, you know you need WR help.

21. Raiders: Lukas Denis S Boston College

I’m not really a fan of this pick. The Raiders already have two young safeties and Denis isn’t my top rated guy. Sure he’s rangy and can also play the run, but he’s too wild as a tackler. To me that warrants a 2nd round selection.

22. Texans: Jeffery Simmons DT Mississippi St

I have Simmons rated much higher, but due to an off the field incident, I understand why he falls and I could actually see him fall further than this depending on interviews. Simmmons is quite talented and could be the best interior defender in this draft. I like the player and the fit, the problem is that nothing is of bigger need for this team than O line. There are still quite a few left.

23. Falcons: Raekwon Davis DT Alabama

The Falcons are runnning out of excuses, because they are a pretty stacked team. They could use interior defensive line help. Davis is a very raw pass rushing threat, but lacks the ability as a run defender as of right now. I don’t see him falling this far though. So I like the player and fit, I just don’t think it’s a realistic option.

24. Packers: Montez Sweat DE Mississippi St

The Packers just need help at pass rush right now, and Sweat is excellent. He doesn’t have great size, but is a natural when rushing the QB. He is going to be a liability as a run defender though, but you can work around that. I love this pick for Green Bay.

25. Chargers: Prentice McKinney S Oklahoma

Taylor Rapp, Washinton This is another player I have not yet looked at, but it does fit a need with the injuries to one of their guys, but I think a QB could also be a target here.

26. Jaguars: Will Grier QB West Virginia

The Jags get the best QB. I have him ranked much higher, but for whatever reason it doesn’t seem like other teams love Grier either. He’s got good height, ability to read a defense, and throws the ball well. If the Jags get him, then they are truly deadly with their defense and running game.

27. Packers: Anthony Johnson WR Buffalo

I am not a fan of this pick. While yes I know that Nelson is gone, the Packers need defensive help. Rodgers can’t keep doing things on his own, and getting another WR just forces him to do the same again. If Rodgers is truly great, I suggest he work with the guys he has and focus on trying to get help for his defense.

28. Vikings: Te’Von Coney OLB Notre Dame

Troy Dye, Oregon I haven’t looked at this player yet, but the Vikins could use some LB help. Barr is a solid player, but not great, and the Vikings are running low on cap space, so they may look for a replacement. If Coney is a good player, than this is a great selection, although again O line are still available.

29. Steelers: David Montgomery RB Iowa State

The Steelers are having some Bell issues, and could look to replace him. He’s simply asking for way too much. Personally I have Harris higher, but Montgomery isn’t a bad option. He’s big and strong, but lacks receiving ability right now, so it will hurt their offense which is why I would have taken Harris.

30. Rams: Martez Ivey OT Florida

O line is a need for the Rams. They have older guys, and they could still look to add talent. I like Ivey, but better guys are available, mainly the ones from Wisconsin and Alabama, so I like the position, just not the player at this spot.

31. Eagles: Joe Jackson DE Miami (FL)

Jalen Jelks, Oregon This is a player that I have not really scouted yet, but I am not a fan of this pick. The Eagles have talent at DE, now I know Graham is 30 and Bennett is over 31, but they do have a young guy in Barnett, and I feel LB and S are a bigger issue right now due to injuries and lack of ability.

32. Patriots: Christian Wilkins DT Clemson

I have Wilkins going around this pick. He’s an all around defender, that isn’t great at one thing, but this is the type of player that always seems to fall into the Pats lap. I think this is a good selection and fit for a team in desperate need of help on defense.
