The 2017 NFL Draft is going to be a great one and the one certain thing we know is that NO ONE knows who the first 32 players are going to be picked. I’ve seen as many as 60 players projected into the first round. It is going to be wild.

1. Browns: Myles Garrett DE Texas A&M

The CLEVELAND BROWNS BRAND needs a new face of the franchise and are in the perfect position to grab one. That’s why they go with the 21 year old physical clone of Julius Peppers. If he can play up to his physical talent even just a little bit the Browns are grabbing the next super talent at DE for the next decade.

2. 49ers: Mitch Trubisky QB North Carolina

Yes, the 49ers need a QB of the future. However don’t let this distract you from the fact that Colin Kaepernick still hasn’t been signed.

3. Bears: Solomon Thomas DE Stanford

The draft process has helped Solomon Thomas in a major way. We thought Jonathan Allen would be here but on second look there may be a legitimate gap between the two.

4. Jaguars: Leonard Fournette RB LSU

Everyone has this pick locked in. Unless a trade happens, it seems like a given.

5. Titans: Malik Hooker S Ohio State

The Titans are going to pick their favorite of the three DB’s here.

6. Jets: Jamal Adams S LSU

The Jets have had all sorts of problems at defensive back so they have to go to the one place that will remedy all that: D-B-U.

7. Chargers: Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio State

Again, to not be repetitive but yet another team that will wait for the DB shake up and get who’s available.

8. Panthers: Corey Davis WR Western Michigan

This will be OJ Howard or Corey Davis. I know this isn’t a popular pick but the Panthers HAVE to introduce an element of speed and reliability to Cam Newton’s world. The Funchess thing isn’t working. Tedd Ginn is off the team again. Davis has the most potential out of the deep threats in this draft.

9. Bengals: Cam Robinson OT Alabama

A healthy & quiet Cam Robinson is still one of the ten best players in this draft. If there is anyone that takes the chance here it is Marvin Lewis. Quietly 17 teams flew down to Alabama to get a look at him and I’m convinced that this isn’t coincidence.

And guess who had him as his #1 player in this draft for two years… hmmm…

10. Bills: Marlon Humphrey CB Alabama

Stephon Gilmore took his talents to New England. Humphrey is super physical and ironically compares to Gilmore well with the way he smothers WR’s space.

11. Saints: Reuben Foster ILB Alabama

Yes the Saints just used a first rounder on a linebacker two years ago (Stephone Anthony) but the position is still shaky. Manti Teo has been added but he hasn’t exactly set the world on fire as a pro yet.

12. Browns: Jonathan Allen DE Alabama

No QB? Nope. Anyone notice Brock Osweiler hasn’t been cut yet? Allen’s too good to get past this solid Browns defense that can always use talent.

13. Cardinals: Tre’Davious White CB LSU

As great as the Honey Badger is, the best ability is AVAILABILITY. I’ve been converted solidly over to the availability > talent crowd. White can play all over and make an impact anywhere in this backfield.

14. Colts: Ryan Ramczyk OT Wisconsin

Can Andrew Luck get some help? Yeah let’s not use a premium pick on another 5’11 WR and make it count.

15. Eagles: Gareon Conley CB Ohio State

The Eagles pretty much HAVE to take a DB here. Conley it is.

16. Ravens: Mike Williams WR Clemson

Steve Smith Sr. “Iced Up” for the last time and left a huge hole for a tough WR to fill. Williams, who recovered from a freak neck injury, seems to be tough as anyone in this class.

17. Redskins: Christian McCaffrey RB Stanford

I think the Redskins are a potential trade up prospect (what’s up Tribusky) but they may not have enough fire power to do it. If they stand pat this goes down to drafting a RB that doesn’t fumble as much as Matt Jones and replaces Desean Jackson’s big plays.

18. Titans: John Ross WR Washington

The fastest man in the draft goes to the Titans. It’s only right. This offense just got really scary.

19. Buccaneers: Dalvin Cook RB FSU

Why pass on Cook here? The Bucs need a reliable runner and Cook is right there in Tallahassee. Not to mention the QB here is a familiar face.

20. Broncos: O.J. Howard TE Alabama

Ever since Julius Thomas left Denver has gotten zero production from the tight end position. No disrespect to anyone but there isn’t any tight end close to OJ Howard on this team. Help those young QBs.

21. Lions: Taco Charlton DE Michigan

I should mock a WR here but there isn’t one that would justify skipping on Charlton for Detroit.

22. Dolphins: Sidney Jones CB Washington

Ever since Brent Grimes went to Tampa Miami has needed help at that spot.

23. Giants: Garett Boles OT Utah

Free agency was good to the G Men but there are still concerns about Ereck Flowers and where he will play. Looks like NY needs another tackle to move Flowers to his best fit.

24. Raiders: Adoree Jackson CB USC

WR? CB? Return man? You know how I feel about players without a position but Jackson’s skill set is unique enough to get him drafted for his elite return game.

25. Texans: Derek Barnett DE Tennessee

I know Clowney came on strong last year, but how many years will JJ Watt be playing pro ball? The bright lights of Hollywood seem to be calling him, the Texans better not be left empty handed.

26. Seahawks: Forrest Lamp OT Western Kentucky

Is Russell Wilson ever going to get help on the offensive line?

27. Chiefs: DeShone Kizer QB Notre Dame

I originally had Watson here but I cannot lie to myself anymore. Kizer is going to be picked first. He is right there talent-wise and this team that can afford to let him develop into a top QB (for all four quarters.) Someone will take him before Watson who is closer to a finished product with his own flaws.

28. Cowboys: Malik McDowell DT Michigan State

Dallas has taken chances on other players who shall not be named to generate the pass rush and still came up short. McDowell is a great player if you’re still playing meaningful games… at least that’s the knock on him.

29. Packers: Tim Williams OLB Alabama

Whether or not Tim Williams is a limited pass rusher is another conversation. Green Bay has drafted several players to generate the pass rush and cannot afford to leave this draft without more young rushers in tow.

30. Steelers: Joe Mixon RB Oklahoma

I know, I know. The negativity has your attention but Joe Mixon is still one of the best runners in the country. Without the drama he’s going top 15. Coach Tomlin will take a chance on talent and needs someone to split time with his #1 runner in Bell.

31. Falcons: Charles Harris DE Missouri

The Falcons go with a Atlanta prospect to generate some pass rush.

32. Saints: Isaiah Jones WR East Carolina

The Saints traded Brandin Cooks and don’t seem to have anyone to fill the void. Zay Jones is very coveted quiet as kept and I’d be surprised if he’s here. Look for ATL as another possibility.

1. Browns: Mitch Trubisky QB North Carolina

***TRADE***The Browns trade picks 12 and 33(2nd rd) to the Titans for pick #5. The Titans will want to recover their lost 2nd round pick this year and the Browns will want to ensure they get their QB. They cannot wait in the event the Jets, Bills or other team will want to take Trubisky.

2. Bengals: Jonathan Allen DE Alabama

***TRADE***Cincy trades picks 9 & 73(3rd rd) to the Jets for the #6 pick. Concy has to get younger and more productive up front on defense .They need to stop the run and generate a pass rush. Allen can do both and will slide in right next to Geno Atkins and be able to kick outside when needed.

3. Redskins: Malik Hooker S Ohio State

***TRADE***The Skins trade picks 19 & 81(3rd round) to NO for pick #11. This trade is not really close to being even on the chart as Washington gets a steal. This was all part of a larger plan for the Saints to move back but i’ll save it for later. The Skins have never truly replaced the great Sean Taylor and Hooker has drawn comparisons to Ed Reed. This will fill a huge need and they can get a top 5 talent for a steal.

4. Seahawks: Forrest Lamp OT Western Kentucky

***TRADE***The Seahawks trade pick 26 and CB Richard Sherman to the Ravens for picks 16 and 47(2nd rd). This swap of 1st rd picks and value of the 2nd round pick values Sherman at the 730 or about the 24th pick in the 1st round. The Seahawks have to upgrade on the OL and Lamp is the best in this class. He can be a Pro Bowl guard and if needed move to tackle.

With less than a week away the 2017 NFL Draft looms. For Redskins fans like me, we are praying for a solid draft but with no GM in place in Washington the Redskins fan base worry that mistakes may be made. I hope that someone up there in the Redskins management has a clue of what they are doing. This draft will be my last this year and I hope that some of them will be drafted by my Redskins.

Draft needs: ILB, OLB, CB, FS, DL, G, RB, WR.

1. Redskins: Haason Reddick OLB Temple

Rd. 1, Pick 17. The Redskins select ILB/OLB Haason Reddick 6-1, 237 lbs. Reddick ran 4.52 40 at the NFL Combine. He has risen up draft boards faster than anyone this year. With this pick the Skins would not only have a linebacker with the speed to play sideline to sideline but on passing downs they can allow him to pin his ears back and come in as and extra rusher which he excels at. He is solid in coverage being he starter his college career as a CB. I want this guy to be a Redskin!

2. Redskins: Tarell Basham DE Ohio

Rd. 2, Pick 49. The Redskins select OLB/DE Tarell Basham 6-4, 269 lbs. Basham ran 4.70 40 at the NFL Combine. Like Reddick, Basham has risen quickly up draft boards with impressive showing at both the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine. Basham has all the physical tools to become an elite 34 OLB but he can also put his hand in the dirt and rush the passer on passing downs when the Skins switch to the 43 alignment.

3. Redskins: Sidney Jones CB Washington

Rd. 3, Pick 81. The Redskins select CB Sidney Jones 6-0, 186 lbs. Jones ran 4.47 40 at the NFL Combine. Jones was once a top 5 CB and a 1st round prospect but an injury in his Pro Day has dropped his draft stock do to uncertainty over how fast he will recover and whether he will be back in time for the start of the season. This is a value pick for the Redskins.

4. Redskins: Marcus Maye S Florida

Rd. 4, Pick 114. The Redskins select FS Marcus Maye 6-0, 207 lbs. Maye ran 4.47 40 at his Pro Day. The Redskins new secondary coach was Maye’s secondary coach at Florida. The Skins should be very high on a couple of the Florida players this draft but Maye might be the best fit for the Redskins. Maye has excellent range and can play single high safety or the Skins can change up and play Tampa 2. Maye will WOW fans with his tone setting hits. Plays like a beast.

5. Redskins: Dede Westbrook WR Oklahoma

Rd.4, Pick 123. The Redskins select WR Dede Westbrook 6-0, 178 lbs. Westbrook ran 4.39 40 at his Pro Day. This Biletnikoff award winner as the nation’s top wide receiver has the speed to make opposing defenses take note to where he has lined up on every play. This will allow underneath routes room to develop. Westbrook has soft hands but needs to work on route running and developing an expanded route tree.

6. Redskins: James Conner RB PITT

Rd. 5, Pick154. The Redskins select RB James Conner 6-1, 233 lbs. Conner ran 4.65 40 at the NFL Combine. Conner is a big bruiser back that is at his best as a one cut runner between the tackles but he has shown he can also be and receiving outlet that is quite at home working his way out to the flats. Anyone that knows James Conner’s back story will admire his determination. I’m a big fan of his and I hope he has a successful NFL career. I hope it is with the Skins.

7. Redskins: Deatrich Wise Jr. DE Arkansas

Rd. 6, Pick 201. The Redskins select DE Deatrich Wise Jr. 6-5, 274 lbs. Ran 4.92 40 at the NFL Combine. Wise would give the Redskins another pass rushing option. He has the size to play both 34 or 43 DE. He would be a nice two gap option. Holds his own on running downs.

8. Redskins: Stevie Tu’ikolovatu DT Utah

Rd. 6, Pick 209. The Redskins select NT Stevie Tu’ikolovatu 6-1, 331 lbs. Ran 5.45 40 at the NFL Combine. Tu’ikolovatu would give the Redskins a true 34 NT able to hold his own against double teams. Tu’ikolovatu turned a lot of heads at both the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine.

9. Redskins: Ben Braden OG Michigan

Rd. 7, Pick 220. The Redskins select G Ben Braden 6-6, 329 lbs. Braden ran 5.04 40 at the NFL Combine. Braden can play G or OT. Quick feet, solid frame, NFL strong. Came from old school NFL power offense at Michigan. Good prospect to develop, has a mean streak.

10. Redskins: Joey Ivie DT Florida

Rd. 7, Pick 235. The Redskins select DL Joey Ivie 6-3, 301 lbs. Ivie ran a 4.97 40 at his Pro Day. Ivie has talent but was mostly used as a rotational player at Florida which was loaded with defensive lineman. Blue collar guy has a non-stop motor. Doesn’t give up on plays, plays to the whistle. Solid bull rush, has some pass rush moves, Needs to get better at using his hands. He might be able to carve himself out a spot on the rotation with a solid training camp. He needs to fight for it otherwise it ‘s the Practice Squad to start the season. Still there is talent to develop with this guy.

Who are the top prospects? There are quite a few names you can throw out there. We all know the Browns, 49ers, Bears, Jags and Titans hold those first few picks and will have their pick come draft day.

What else needs to be said?

Here are the TOP 6 Players who may be taken in the 2017 Draft thanks to Mammoth10:

1. Browns: Myles Garrett DE Texas A&M

If they do anything else they should be removed from the face of the Earth

2. 49ers: Solomon Thomas DE Stanford

This pick is tougher, I personally believe they should pick Jamal Adams, but from what I’ve been hearing, unless they trade down this is who they pick.

3. Bears: Jamal Adams S LSU

Go get yourself a future all pro and the future anchor of the defense

4. Jaguars: Leonard Fournette RB LSU

Like the 49ers at 2, I think they should go with a safety, but this is what I hear this is where they will go.

5. Titans: Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio State

This pick is self explanatory.

6. Browns: Mitch Trubisky QB North Carolina

I think they’ll trade up to get the home town kid.

Just over a week to go, I predict all Jets selections.

1. Jets: Malik Hooker S Ohio State

With injury and lack of production plaguing the secondary, the Jets must address it extremely early in the draft. The 3 secondary players who will be chosen in the top 10 are S Jamal Adams, CB Marshon Lattimore, and S Malik Hooker. I am predicting Adams is gone by this point, and the Jets take Hooker over the injury-prone Lattimore. Maybe the best playmaker in the draft, Hooker brings turnover potential to a team that doesn’t force any. With Marcus Gilchrist hurt, and Calvin Pryor declining last season, Hooker is a perfect fit and also a best player available at #6.

2. Jets: Tre’Davious White CB LSU

Like I said, the Jets REALLY need help in the secondary. The only notable signing in free agency was Morris Claiborne, who immediately slides into the CB1 slot. The #2 slot is still uncertain, however, which is why they select fellow LSU star, Tre’Davious White. Although not big at 5’11 192, White makes up for it in coverage ability. You can teach tackling (Although the Jets coaches can’t), you can’t teach speed and instincts. White has the ability to play outside or nickel corner and is special with his mechanics.

3. Jets: Pat Elflein C Ohio State

After the secondary, the most glaring hole is quarterback. They aren’t solving that problem at this point in the draft. The next biggest need is offensive line, as the days of consistency with D’Brickshaw Ferguson and Nick Mangold are gone. With both tackle positions presumably filled with Kelvin Beachum and Ben Ijalana, and both guards seemingly locked with James Carpenter and Brian Winters, they are trusting backup center Wesley Johnson with starting duties. They need to bring in a leader on the line, and a guy that can stick around for years. Pat Elflein is a captain’s captain and can begin the rejuvenation of this offensive line similar to what Ferguson and Mangold did their rookie seasons.

4. Jets: Jeremy Sprinkle TE Arkansas

*3rd round Compensatory pick. With their second pick in the 3rd round, the Jets select a less known name from the Tight End position. Even if Jake Butt or Jordan Leggett were still available, I prefer Sprinkle as a fit for NYJ. A dual-threat as a blocker and receiver, the Jets need that type to play all 3 downs and contribute in the redzone.

5. Jets: De’Angelo Henderson RB Coastal Carolina

In a draft that is deep in running backs, the Jets can find an impact player in the 5th round. De’Angelo Henderson is an interesting fit for the Jets because he can do it all. At 5’7 208, he compares similarly to a Maurice Jones-Drew or Branden Oliver as he has speed and some power, and bowling-balls his way through defenses at times. On a team with a lackluster offensive line, you need running backs who can make plays on their own.

6. Jets: Matt Milano ILB Boston College

Late in the draft, teams look for either physical freaks who haven’t put it together yet, or work-ethic guys who play hard and can contribute on special teams. Milano is the latter. He loves to tackle and will be a coach’s favorite on kickoffs.

2. Jets: Mitch Trubisky QB North Carolina

***TRADE***Jets trade picks 6, 39(2nd rd), 150(5th rd) & 2018 1st rd pick to SF for the 2nd pick in the draft. SF is looking to move as they have been linked to a specific prospect that they would get better value for. The Jets…specifically HC Todd Bowles & GM Mike Maccagnan are on the hot seat and this could be their last year. Most experts are saying to get some young talent this draft and tank this season for a “better QB” next year but the way I see it is that if the HC/GM arent going to be here to acquire that future QB why give the next GM future picks. This is an act of desperation but it actually might be enough to buy this regime another year or 2.

6. Panthers: Solomon Thomas DE Stanford

***TRADE***The Panthers trade picks 8 & 64(2nd rd) to SF for picks 6 & 143(4th rd comp). This trade is within 36 pts on the value chart. The Panthers miss out on Fournette so they cannot afford to let the Chargers or another team(Cincy/NO) trade up for Thomas. Julius Peppers & Charles Johnson may be in their last years in the league & they traded away Kony Ealy. Restocking the pass rush will be crucial to ensuring the defense stays strong after this year.

9. Browns: Malik Hooker S Ohio State

***TRADE***The Browns trade picks 12, 33(2nd rd) & 108(4th rd) to Cincy for picks 9 & 41(2nd rd). This trade is within 18 pts on the value chart. Cle needs Safety help badly and Hooker is a game changer. Hooker has drawn comparisons to Ed Reed and Earl Thomas so the Browns get 2 massive defensive upgrades. The main prospects that make sense for the Browns are Hooker & Lattimore but with Cincy/Buffalo/NO picking ahead there is no guaranty either will be there at 12.

19. Seahawks: Garett Boles OT Utah

***TRADE***Seattle trades picks 26, 102(3rd rd comp) & 2018 3rd rd pick to TB for pick 19. Seattle is not shy about trading and giving away future picks. The Seahawks need OL help & Bolles is the best tackle in this draft. Ramczyk has medical concerns and Lamp projects to be a guard. Also, Den/Mia/NYG/Hou all have OL needs so they have to move up to ensure they get the help they need.

24. 49ers: Patrick Mahomes QB Texas Tech

***TRADE***SF trades picks 39(2nd rd from NYJ) & 66(3rd rd) to Oak from pick 24. This trade is within 30 pts on the chart. SF needs to get a QB for the future and once Mahomes made it past NYG the 49ers could comfortably move up and jump Houston who needs a QB plus KC or Pitt who have been linked to QBs. Mahomes has been getting crazy hype lately and would be a shock at this point if he doesnt go in rd1.

28. Jaguars: Cam Robinson OT Alabama

***TRADE***Jax trades picks 35(2nd rd), 68(3rd rd) & 148(5th rd) to Dallas for picks 28 & 92(3rd rd). This trade is within 30 pts on the chart. Jax went defense heavy in FA & in this draft they are going hard on the offensive side. They got Fournette with pick 4 & traded for Brendan Albert but they still need more on the OL. Robinson projects to RT or at worst a Guard so look for him to start day 1 as they will give Blake Bortles 1 more year to prove himself before deciding if they need to move on next season.

Well, we already know Myles Garrett is a lock for #1. Unless something crazy happens he will be holding down the #1 selection. That’s just one pick though. We have a whole draft after that!

Best fits and Worst picks for each selection. Who should your team avoid?

1. Browns: Myles Garrett DE Texas A&M

Best Fit: Myles Garrett, DE- Texas A&M. Hands down the best player in the draft. This pick should be as much of a sure thing as any in recent memory. Worst Pick: QB Mitch Trubisky- UNC. I can’t see Cleveland going any other route than Garrett here, but the only other options would be at Quarterback. DO NOT DO IT, CLEVELAND.

2. 49ers: Solomon Thomas DE Stanford

Best Fit: DE Solomon Thomas- Stanford. The 49ers are beginning to look like they head in the right direction with the 2nd pick, and that would be Thomas. An athletic edge rusher, he is more than just a freak, as he can stuff the run and grind his way off the block. Worst Pick: RB Leonard Fournette-LSU. Don’t get me wrong, Fournette is an other-worldy talent at RB and is going to have a great NFL career, but this is not the place for him. A bad offensive line, no quarterback of the future, and a defense that doesn’t stop anybody, a running back is the last thing San Francisco needs especially with Carlos Hyde already here.

3. Bears: Jamal Adams S LSU

Best Fit: S Jamal Adams-LSU. Quick. Name somebody on the Bears defense…It’s a lot harder to do nowadays as Chicago looks like a ghost of their former selves. A playmaker and a hard hitter, Adams brings athleticism and headiness to a position of need and can become a leader of a young defense. Worst Pick: WR Mike Williams-Clemson. The Bears might want to jump to an answer for losing Alshon Jeffery to Philly, but they shouldn’t this high in the draft. Trading down and selecting a WR or waiting until the later rounds is a good idea because the defense is a top priority in the first round.

4. Jaguars: Leonard Fournette RB LSU

Best Fit: TE O.J. Howard-Alabama. The Jaguars have a few options here. But in terms of best fit for their team, Howard is the guy. They traded Julius Thomas to help their offensive line, which was a great move. They now have a solid left tackle, which could open up the run game and help Bortles stay in the pocket. Howard is a great safety option who can also go deep and make plays after the catch. Worst Pick: QB Mitch Trubisky-UNC. The last thing Jacksonville needs to do is draft another QB this high. Bortles struggled last season, but they invested too much in him to abandon ship after one bad year. Stick with your man.

5. Titans: Malik Hooker S Ohio State

Best Fit: WR Mike Williams-Clemson. Hooker would be a great pick also, but I love Tennessee going with a stud WR like Williams. Mariota’s best passing options are Delanie Walker, Rishard Matthews and DeMarco Murray. A true #1 is what they need in that offense. Worst Pick: WR Corey Davis-Western Michigan. I’m just not sold on Davis as a top 5 pick. He can wind up being a great player, but I think the risk is too high at a pick this high.

6. Jets: Mitch Trubisky QB North Carolina

Best Fit: CB Marshon Lattimore-Ohio State. The team’s biggest need and one of the best players available, this sounds like a slam dunk. The only concern is his long term health, which the Jets can take a risk on because of his supreme talent. Worst Pick: QB Mitch Trubisky- UNC. And the first team to screw up their draft is…My New York Jets. I just have a feeling about this one. They will fall in love with him in the process, and claim he is the guy to build their future around. They need to build a team around their quarterback first, though, and this pick will wind up biting them.

7. Chargers: Mike Williams WR Clemson

Best Fit: WR Mike Williams-Clemson. They would be loaded with weapons after adding a future star. Williams joins Keenan Allen, Travis Benjamin, Hunter Henry, Antonio Gates, Tyrell Williams, and Melvin Gordon to propel Philip Rivers in his remaining years. Worst Pick: QB Deshaun Watson-Clemson. I’ve heard LA can take a QB high in this draft. Not this high. Wait until the 2nd or later rounds.

8. Panthers: Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio State

Best Fit: DE Taco Charlton-Michigan. They need a pass rusher. Learn behind a Hall of Famer in Peppers. Worst Pick: RB Dalvin Cook-Florida State. If Fournette falls, jump. But don’t just take Cook because you need a RB. This draft is deep at the position.

9. Bengals: Reuben Foster ILB Alabama

Best Fit: LB Reuben Foster-Alabama. Biggest need on defense, best player available. Worst Pick: OT Ryan Ramcyzk-Wisconsin. Don’t reach for your biggest need after losing Whitworth and Zeitler.

10. Bills: Quincy Wilson CB Florida

Best Fit: CB Quincy Wilson-Florida. Can step in and be a top Corner. Worst Pick: S Jabril Peppers-Michigan. Not the safety the Bills need. Questions about his real position.

11. Saints: John Ross WR Washington

Best Fit: DE Taco Charlton-Michigan. Edge rusher they desperately need. Ross compares to Brandin Cooks, so the Saints pull the trigger to replace him. Worst Pick: RB Christian McCaffrey-Stanford. They have talent at RB, and have major holes they need to fill before making luxury picks.

12. Browns: Deshaun Watson QB Clemson

Best Fit: QB Deshaun Watson-Clemson. They have to draft one eventually right? Worst Pick: QB DeShone Kizer-Notre Dame. Don’t get cute. Watson is the better prospect.

13. Cardinals: Corey Davis WR Western Michigan

Best Fit: LB Haason Reddick-Temple. Fills a need, and this kid is a great football player. Worst Pick: CB Tre’Davious White-LSU. Any corner here is a reach and White can be an option in round 2.

14. Eagles: Gareon Conley, CB-Ohio State

Best Fit: Conley. After signing Jeffery, this is the biggest need. Best CB available. Worst Pick: RB Dalvin Cook. Doesn’t do anything elite.

15. Colts: Jonathan Allen DE Alabama

Best Fit: McCaffrey. Adds a new element to the offense. Allen is best player on the board. Worst Pick: OT Garret Bolles-Utah. Still a bit too high for Bolles.

16. Ravens: Derek Barnett DE Tennessee

Best Fit: Barnett. Worst Pick: TE David Njoku-Miami.

So how will things shake out?

Draftguy has put together a new 2017 NFL Mock Draft for us featuring his top 22 picks:

1. Browns: Myles Garrett DE Texas A&M

No Brainer

2. 49ers: Malik Hooker S Ohio State

I think this comes down to Hooker or Adams with no trade partner to take the pick and give equal value. Hooker fits the Seattle scheme better than Adams, and SF won’t be fooled by the medical. This guy can flat out play. John lynch can see that.

3. Bears: Jonathan Allen DE Alabama

This could be Solomon Thomas or Jamal Adams here, but I think the scheme diverse Allen gets the nod because he fits better into the 3-4 scheme. It doesn’t hurt that he was the best defensive player in college football last year

4. Jaguars: Leonard Fournette RB LSU

I think this is a no brainer. I also think Zeke Elliott and Todd Gurley added value back into drafting elite backs in the top 10 of the draft. Don’t be fooled by the 2016 film. Fournette made his money in 2015.

5. Titans: Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio State

This draft could not have fallen any better for the Titans. Lattimore is a top 5 talent, the best CB in the draft and fills a huge hole. They are doing cartwheels in the Tennessee war room.

6. Jets: Deshaun Watson QB Clemson

I don’t buy the talk that the Jets are tanking 2016 for Darnold. Bowles needs to win and win now otherwise de doesn’t have a job come 2017. I think they need a QB with big game experience and there is no one that has more than Watson.

7. Chargers: Solomon Thomas DE Stanford

Thomas’ slide ends here. He;s a perfect fit for the 4-3 scheme and adds value to the pick

8. Panthers: Jamal Adams S LSU

I think this is the 1st trade of the night. I think the Bills move up 2 spots to get Adams at a great value The panthers pick up a 3rd rd pick and move down 2 spots to still get their guy.

9. Bengals: Reuben Foster ILB Alabama

If there is a player in this draft that fits the Bengals, its Foster. He is a top 10 talent, fills a position of need, and will be a terror in the AFC north for years

10. Bills: Ryan Ramczyk OT Wisconsin

I think Carolina needs OL help bad, They need to protect their Franchise QB. The 3rd rd pick they get from Buffalo softens the blow of over drafting the OL help

11. Saints: O.J. Howard TE Alabama

I think the loss of Graham and Cook in consecutive years, as well as the non-emergence of Fleener is a direct cause of the saints drafting Howard. The depth of the defensive players allow them to draft their No.1 offensive receiving weapon in the draft

12. Browns: Mike Williams WR Clemson

I think this is the 2nd trade of the draft. The Browns trade this pick to the Titans for Pick #18 and a 3rd round pick in 2017 and 2018. The titans get the #1 receiver on their board

13. Cardinals: Corey Davis WR Western Michigan

This is the 3rd trade of the night. The cardinals trade with the Baltimore Ravens to move down 3 spot for an extra 3rd round pick in 2017 and 4th in 2018. The Ravens select Corey Davis, a huge position of need

14. Colts: Haason Reddick OLB Temple

The fastest riser in the draft process finds a home in Indy. He fill the hole vacated by Jackson and adds speed to the defense

15. Eagles: Derek Barnett DE Tennessee

Eagles add value with Barnett sliding in the draft

16. Ravens: Patrick Mahomes QB Texas Tech

Bruce Arians gets his QB of the future

17. Redskins: Mitch Trubisky QB North Carolina

Redskins draft the heir apparent to Cousins

Creating mock drafts are almost kinda therapeutic to me, so this was a lot of fun. Here are my picks!

1. Browns: Myles Garrett DE Texas A&M

No brainer.

2. 49ers: Solomon Thomas DE Stanford

Solomon Thomas is the next best player available. The 49ers could be killing two birds with one stone by upgrading at pass rusher and selecting one of the best talents in the draft. Plus, Stanford and San Fran are so close to each other!

3. Bears: Jonathan Allen DE Alabama

Seems like the Bears have been eyeing Jonathan Allen for a long time. Though his length was revealed a concern at the combine, that will only drop him one spot in this draft as the Bears could really use a defensive lineman anyway. Though Garrett and Thomas are better prospects, they won’t turn down Allen.

4. Jaguars: O.J. Howard TE Alabama

Those predictions that the Jaguars will take Leonard Fournette aren’t bad, just not as logical as them taking O.J. Howard. Jacksonville has T.J. Yeldon and Chris Ivory are reliable enough in the meantime, but Marcedes Lewis and Mychal Rivera aren’t #1 tight ends. Drafting a tight end- the best tight end in the draft for that matter- helps out Blake Bortles tremendously as he needs as many targets as he can get.

5. Titans: Jamal Adams S LSU

Both Jamal Adams and Malik Hooker are neck-and-neck for the top safety spot. I have Adams getting picked first because of Hooker’s recent surgery. Adams can plug right in to this Titans secondary and can compliment the signing of Johnathan Cyprien. Those poor Rams had to give this pick away for Jared Goff…

6. Jets: Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio State

No, Leonard Fournette is NOT being picked here either. The Jets have a lot of issues on their team, but the secondary is probably the most beat up. With Matt Forte and Bilal Powell in the backfield who are both decent enough, Buster Skrine, Marcus Williams, and the newly signed injury prone Morris Claiborne need help. While it’s hard to picture anyone as good as Revis, Marshon Lattimore can be the next marquis man in New York’s secondary.

7. Chargers: Cam Robinson OT Alabama

This might seem like a strange pick, but I think it makes sense. The Chargers won’t be gung ho on selecting a safety because of their resigning of Jahleel Addae, and their offensive line woes have gone on for what seems like ages. San Dieg- I mean Los Angeles would be wise to select the best offensive lineman in Cam Robinson from Alabama before anyone else.

8. Panthers: Leonard Fournette RB LSU

This is the most ideal spot for Leonard Fournette, assuming no other team trades up for him before this spot. With Jonathan Stewart turning 30, the Panthers would love to bring in the most electrifying offensive player in this draft. Fournette provides youth, excitement, and overall talent to Carolina’s backfield.

9. Bengals: Reuben Foster ILB Alabama

While character issues were a concern for Foster, the Bengals will still be open to selecting him 9th overall. Vontaze Burfict also had some doubts going into the draft (he went undrafted) because of his character, but he’s become a staple on their linebacking squad. With the release of Rey Maualuga this offseason, Cincinnati will be looking to find an inside linebacker, and Foster can certainly perform.

10. Bills: Marlon Humphrey CB Alabama

Sure, the Bills could use another wide receiver. Really badly. However, the loss of Stephon Gilmore makes their need for cornerback just as serious. Marlon Humphrey isn’t as hyped as Marshon Lattimore, but he’s arguably just as good. The Bills will think hard about drafting a wide receiver, but will ultimately go for this game-changing corner.

11. Saints: Taco Charlton DE Michigan

The Saints have Cameron Jordan and Sheldon Rankins who are for sure starters. One more piece on that defensive line could make a huge difference. Taco Charlton’s draft stock increased after the combine, and the Saints surely have taken note of that.

12. Browns: Malik Hooker S Ohio State

Should the Browns pick their quarterback here? No. The Browns have a ton of other needs, including in their secondary. Most don’t predict Malik Hooker falling this far down in the draft, but if he does, the Browns would gladly pick him up. Drafting a quarterback here does not make their defensive backfield any better.

13. Cardinals: Adoree Jackson CB USC

Can you think of who the cornerback across from Patrick Peterson is? Me neither. Adoree’ Jackson is one of the better cornerbacks in his class and the Cardinals would surely scoop him up.

14. Colts: Caleb Brantley DT Florida

The Colts are going to be tempted to take Dalvin Cook or an offensive lineman, but their defensive line is weak. Especially their defensive tackles. Caleb Brantley is one of the best interior pass rushers in this draft and the Colts would value him.

15. Eagles: Dalvin Cook RB FSU

The Eagles know that this draft has many good cornerbacks and less valuable runningbacks when they pick next. That’s why they’re going to choose Dalvin Cook here. He’s a sure starter in this league, and some experts even say he’s better than Fournette. With Darren Sproles retiring next season and the Ryan Mathews/Wendell Smallwood duo just not cutting it, Dalvin Cook would be perfect to bring in to form chemistry with Carson Wentz.

16. Ravens: Mike Williams WR Clemson

The Ravens are for sure going to draft a wide receiver early, and they’d be lucky to take the first one off the board. Mike Williams is nicely built and a big red-zone threat who Joe Flacco would love to throw to.

17. Redskins: Derek Barnett DE Tennessee

The Redskins brought in Terrell McClain and Phil Taylor this offseason, but they could use the extra firepower. Derek Barnett is one of the best edge rushers in the draft and the Redskins would not want to pass him up.

18. Titans: John Ross WR Washington

Remember when the Titans drafted the 40 time record holder Chris Johnson? I can see them doing it again with John Ross. The Titans like speedy players and need another wide receiver, and John Ross certainly fits the bill.
