1. Browns Draft OT Spencer Drango

Again, I’m surprised the Browns make this list. Drango was a prospect people thought would go much sooner but lasted until round five. Cleveland is rebuilding this entire team from the ground up so Drango will likely see some action sooner rather than later.

Our look at the draft continues. Rounds three and four are the “middle rounds” where the bulk of a team will come from.

Naturally teams want to hit on as many of these picks as possible to build a contender. If you look at the top teams they have a few superstars but also have a complete roster of guys that are very good at their specific jobs.

The guys drafted in these rounds will not be day one starters but all have potential to be very good pros if they get in the right situation. Look at what it did for a guy like Russell Wilson to go later to a team that wasn’t dysfunctional and allowed him to focus on football and not a bunch of antics.

With that said there will be many busts and misses in these rounds but hopefully most of them catch on. Here are our favorite picks of rounds three and four:

1. Dolphins Draft RB Kenyan Drake

Miami was enamored with Ezekiel Elliot but the asking price to get him was too high. A running back was still needed so they opted for Drake who’s a solid runner, very quick, and a good catcher. If nothing else he will help in the return game from day one.

Our look at the 2016 NFL Draft continues with a look at the best picks of round two. Round two is an interesting position. It’s not the “top picks” but these are generally considered elite players as well as the guys who are picked in round one.

Rounds two, three, and four are where the bulk of a successful NFL team’s roster comes from. Remember, it is very rare that a team picks multiple times in the first 32 picks. It is not that rare for a team to pick five or more times in the middle three rounds.

With that said, hopefully some of these guys become NFL greats.

Here are my top five picks of round two:

1. Cowboys Draft LB Jaylon Smith

The Cowboys drafted the player who I had as the 7-9th best player in this draft with the 34th pick in the draft. I know he has a serious knee/nerve injury but if he can overcome this Jerry once again looks like a genius. Dallas needs a sure tackler in the box to help with the run game.

A big risk but Jerry Jones has never been shy…

The 2016 Draft class has been drafted and rookie camps are underway in just a few days. But before we get into that, why not take a look back at some of the “best” picks of each round?

Of course we won’t know for two, three, or even four years if these picks are actually “good” or not but that’s what mock drafting is all about. So let’s make some educated guesses based on player position, fit, and potential in his new NFL home.

Here are my top five picks of round one:

1. Ravens Draft OT Ronnie Stanley

The Ravens are coming off a year in which Joe Flacco was seriously injured and beat to dust. Most believed Laremy Tunsil was the pick here but with his twitter account suddenly tweeting crazy pictures due to a blackmailer the Ravens went for the safer option. Most believed Tunsil and Stanley were 1 and 1A in this draft anyway.

So what is going to happen on Friday? Well, that is the second round. Who would we be if we didn’t give you a mock of the second round in the 2016 draft?

Danjr posted a great multi-round draft and I just had to share his picks here. Let him know how you think.

It is that time again. In just a few hours we will all be enjoying the 2016 NFL Draft and trying not to be spoiled by hotshot “look at me” reporters on twitter.

Before I get into this, let me rant a bit.

What is the purpose of tweeting draft spoilers? Does the notoriety of posting a “XYZ will draft ABC” tweet five minutes before it’s aired on television really aid your career that much? I’m pretty sure all it does is p!ss a lot more people off than had the tweet been posted maybe a minute max before the pick. It’s kind of annoying to listen to Berman and the crew go on for five minutes trying to create a compelling TV moment and some “reporter” on twitter has already ruined it.

Rant over!

Now that’s off my chest, I must say that this draft season was one of my favorite in the entire time I’ve been doing this. I probably watched the least amount of games and draft specials this year and just let the information come to me. If someone was getting hype, I checked him out. If not, then I let it go. Fun things like the late emergence of Carson Wentz and the random #1 overall hype train for Jalen Ramsey kept things interesting.

As you can tell, this season I took more of a content curator role with the site. I had to make a tough decision but ultimately allowing others to shine on the platform was the best use of my energy and investment.

A Big Thank You

I want to give a BIG THANKS to everyone who posted mocks in the mydraft draft creator. There are literally too many names to mention but you know who you are. Also BIG THANKS to those who contact me behind the scenes with advice. You know who you are. What’s understood need not be said.

Thank you all for a successful 2016. I already have a lot of innovative content ideas (#fortheculture) that I want to start implementing ASAP. Next year we will start credentialing writers to cover events so if you want to be down with the team NOW IS THE TIME to contact me.

Other than that I am ready to watch my Broncos panic and give up way too many picks to select Paxton Lynch.

Enjoy the draft.

We are just a few hours away from the big day. Franchises will be changed forever as they are set to draft what fans hope are the building blocks of a new day for their favorite football teams. We have already seen a few trades happen so far, could there be more on the horizon?

Of course there will be more trades. This is just how the game works. Players fall and rise on draft boards for the oddest reasons. We will have to wait until Thursday to see exactly how it all plays out but who is most likely to make a trade?

Danjr has dropped a new three round mock draft in which he is projecting a few interesting trades.

FLIP THE PAGES BELOW TO SEE THE 5 TRADES THAT COULD HAPPEN:

1. Titans Trade for a LT

The Titans trade picks 15 & 43 for pick 7. This trade is within 20 pts on the value chart. The Titans have been rumored to be wanted to trade back into the top 10 and I would have to imagine it would be for an OT. They have so many picks they can manipulate the draft however they want. Stanley is a LT which will allow them to put taylor Lewan to his natural spot at RT.

The Cowboys are one of the most exciting offseason teams in the league. It is always fun to see what Jerry Jones has planned for his franchise, whether good or bad.

Over the last few years Dallas has been able to target top tier linemen in the draft and build the best offensive line in the game. Jerry Jones looks like a genius for the most part, as he generally bucks the trends and draft who he wants.

So what about this years draft? Who will the Dallas Cowboys draft? Cowboys4life is back with his picks. Let him know if you agree with them.

His full 2016 Dallas Cowboys Mock Draft Below:

1. Cowboys: Joey Bosa DE Ohio State

Round 1. Bosa is the pick, with the need for getting to the QB the cowboys have to make this pick. Bosa is a tough player who makes plays in the backfield. I think with Coaching he could become even better.

2. Cowboys: Robert Nkemdiche DT Ole Miss

2. Round. The Cowboys take a gamble. Like last year, they take talent.

3. Cowboys: Sterling Shepard WR Oklahoma

3 Round. Shepard can do everything. He will be the # two WR long term

4. Cowboys: Devontae Booker RB Utah

4th Round. Booker is a solid RB. He can catch the ball out the backfield as well.

5. Cowboys: Miles Killebrew S Southern Utah

4th Round. Killebrew is the steal of the draft. Big time talent and playmaker

Sitting at pick #11 overall, the Bears stand to grab whatever top flight player that falls out of the top of the draft. Chicago should be able to select a great player whether that is a lineman or a pass rusher.

The trades are coming in fast and furious. The Doug Pederson led Philadelphia Eagles are trying to rid themselves of the stigma from the Chip Kelly era and are going to do it in style. The first move of his first draft season? Jumping up and grabbing that #2 overall draft pick.

The Eagles have traded five picks to the Cleveland Browns to get that coveted #2 pick behind the LA Rams.

Here are the details of the trade:

Hopefully this helps the Browns provide some help for RGIII, and hopefully they don’t regret passing on Carson Wentz or Jared Goff in a few years (perhaps Deshaun Watson 2017?)

Eagles just gave Bradford and Daniel all that money… only to draft Goff or Wentz?

Maybe they are after Laremy….
