The Hornets held their annual draft party for the 2015 draft, and I’m disappointed to say that once again they failed the fanbase. For a team that has hovered in mediocrity Charlotte seems to make lateral draft picks year-after-year leaving the franchise stuck in the mud. The fans are hanging in there like champs but enough is enough.

To put it as simple as possible: stop drafting these guys Jordan.

Stop drafting guys without a discernible elite skill. Frank Kaminsky is a taller, more fluid version of guys you already had in Noah Vonleh/Cody Zeller.

Seriously, why are you drafting 7 footers who don’t protect the rim or rebound? Just look at how that sentence looks when written down. A 7 foot player who doesn’t rebound or protect the rim.

*Sigh* And that is why they’ll always be the Bobcats.

Justise Winslow could have easily went top three in this draft. Unstoppable motor, great defender, and coming on as a scorer.

Yet the BOBCATS select Frank Kaminsky. Yes, I will never call them the Hornets again. The Hornets were competitive. This bastardized version isn’t.

This is the guy that the Heat needed. If DWade decides he can’t live without his $20 million in Miami, they can fast track a rebuild around this kid. He isn’t Lebron but hey he’s better than Luol Deng. Lebron’s opting out but he isn’t returning to Miami. Or is he…. (I’m kidding.)

And with that the live draft blog will conclude. Excuse me as I smash my phone and sell all my Bobcats gear on ebay,

The Hornets need a shooter. No Kaminsky, no other crap. Just a guy who can put the ball in the basket. Devin Booker or RJ Hunter PLEASE.

Here we go…

WHAT DO THE HORNETS NEED FRANK KAMINSKY FOR?!!! WHAT IS THIS OBSESSION WITH BIG GUYS THAT DON’T REBOUND?!!!!!!

First YOU FAIL WITH ZELLER (trying to trade him now)…

…then you FAIL WITH VONLEH (traded yesterday)….

…so you select another big man that can “score” but doesn’t do it in the post? Or rebound?!

And ESPN describes him as “not much of a defender or rebounded.” So we basically drafted a worse version of every stretch four in the league.

Winslow still on the board.

I’m done with this franchise.

I actually watched a lot of Arizona and I thought they had a few guys that could play. Johnson obviously stands out because of his size and ability to score on the break.

His Moms sounds well educated on the game, can we fire Steve Clifford and hire her?

Interesting fact is that we are at pick 8 WITH NO TRADES!

Charlotte is next….

Emmanuel Mudiay has some pretty funny commercials out too:

People thought he could go anywhere from 1 to 5 in this draft, but the injury in China kept him away from the eyes of scouts. In my opinion that move backfired on the court… but he got paid a few million so hopefully his family is settled and he can focus on getting better.

Stein is just as much an internet icon as he is a basketball player. Think about it like this. On the court, he’s Tyson Chandler. Off the court he’s A$AP Rocky.

Drafting Mario Hezonja is basically exactly what this team needed. The guy plays with a chip on his shoulder, can shoot lights out, and will yam it on a defender if you try to jump with him.

I think the Magic will be very happy with this pick in 3 or 4 years.

Yeah… this is not going to end well for someone. I look for Nerlens to force his way away from this experiment.

At a certain point the spreadsheet guys have to start fielding competitive teams that make sense, and not just hoard high draft picks.

Now whether or not he will turn into Steph Curry, we will have to see. Like Curry he lacks elite young Derrick Rose level explosion but he simply puts the ball in the basket. That’s what the Lakers need on and off the court.

Now someone tell me why did Russell rock a bright red suit? *Scratches head* I’m sure he picked it out the Versace Willy Wonka Collection.

Karl came to the draft in style. He sported a grey suit with some sort of herringbone pattern. Looks spiffy, but you got to have confidence to pull this off.
